    • Solid pocket knife..

First off, you know your buying a plastic knife.. so I will not compare this to a ka-bar fighting knife. But... I will say, it's right up there with every other, plastic grip knife. Sharp blade, cut correct, opens and folds easy, shows no sign of folding back on me.. as a everyday.. throw away knife, it's great! As a survival pack pocket knife (with fixed blade as well) it's great.. (yes, in my opinion.. two knives in the survival bag is a good idea. I'll skip the lesson.. Good blade design, good build... not the best on the planet in the highly competitive knife market, but in the top of the list. Yes... I own $5 pocket knives all the way up to $600 pocket knives, that I do carry. On sale.. great buy!

I already had two other 5.11 knives I like and saw this on sale so decided to try it out. The blade is razor sharp and comes to an almost needle-like point. (Delicate? Not sure.) Opens and closes easily with one hand, carries well, locks open securely, solidly. For me the hawkbill blade isn't very practical, but it would serve well for cutting open hay bales and might work for gutting trout or big game. I bought just thinking it would be fun to have. It is.
