    • well made, runs 1-2 sizes small

These are well made pants, but as others have said, they run small. Wore these in 95-100 desert heat during 4 x 9hrs/day of Frontline Firearm Training Institute's handgun classes. The pockets were perfectly positioned for extra magazines and single bullets. Rugged, yet light enough to be comfortable in the heat. The pants are cut more for the feminine figure then regular cargo pants. (no baggy pockets).

I have worn them for a week and they have been great, the break in was only about 2 days. They are very comfortable and are fairly easy to put on. I would suggest ordering wide width

    • These pants are awesome!

I will first say that I have a bit of a love, hate relationship with 5-11. So this review is specifically for these Apex pants. I was looking for a pair of pants that are not so tactical looking but also highly functional for the all EDC I carry. These Apex pants are perfect for this! Plenty of pockets. The stretch is nice and functional. They fit me well. I have an athletic build, with large quads and usually don't wear pants with a slimmer fit. I got the 34/30 size and they fit very well! I liked these so much I bought a second pair in fact and will buy 1 or 2 other colors as well. If you have a little extra weight in the middle these might not fit as well for you. They are a more fitted cut. I personally like that they have a touch higher crotch than the TD gear Carlos Ray pants. I have 3 of those pants which are the same sort of design pocket wise. These Apex pants are a little more fitted than those. Other wise these fit true to size., but are fitted. If I were a bigger guy I'd likely order one size up and have them altered. The functionality and quality is well worth it. They look great and seem very well made.

The 5.11 Tactical Headquarters

One of the original providers of military and tactical clothing and gear, 5.11 has innovation and resilience at its core. The company takes its name from rock climbing. The Yosemite Decimal System initially ranked the difficulty level of a climb on a scale with 5.0 as the easiest and 5.10 as the hardest. A climb that ranked as a 5.11 was considered impossible–but occasionally, someone did it. 5.11 wants all its tactical clothing and equipment to inspire this conquer-the-impossible mentality. The company first focused its attention on creating clothing tough enough for rock climbing, but dressy enough for work. This durable, all-day wear caught the attention of FBI agents, who started ordering it for tactical operations. 5.11 shifted its focus to providing servicemen and public safety professionals with everything they need to perform at their best in any situation.
