Altama EXO boots combine the best of both worlds; they have a lining constructed of breathable, lightweight mesh and a durable, slip-resistant outsole making them a superb choice to wear either in battle or on base. The slip-resistant soles minimize the risk of accidents that may cause serious injuries and protects from dangerous acids and oils. In addition, they boast a molded EVA midsole and a G-Force multi-density cushioned orthotic innersole, making every step a comfortable one. For the ultimate in protection and comfort, Altama’s line of EXO military boots rank supreme for soldiers, law enforcement or outdoorsmen.
I bought a half size bigger than I normally wear and they fit perfect! They're so light and comfy!!
Great price, Very Good price
Bought these on sale, received them and ordered another pair! These are Great boots and I am sorry that I waited this long in my life to find a boot this nice. VERY good quality and fit. WorkBoots is the best place to get quality boots and shoes. I will always buy from here from now on.
Very happy with the boots.
They. Are very comfortable and maybe buy another pair
I bought 2 pair, first pair fit good and this second pair fits even better, I guess that old saying is true 1 will be good and 1 not so good, the result of mass production. But I love these boots and would recommend them to everyone but Altama has discontinued them, to bad, great boot. I look forward to seeing how they hold up in the hard Montana terrain.
Very good boots
Really like the boots. They are very well made, comfortable and warm. As others have reviewed sizing runs a little small. I ordered wide and they for good. Very happy with them!
Great looking and wearing boot for the mpney
Size runs a half size up than what you usually wear. Very lightweight
Very disappointing, I ordered on a clearance three pairs in a month: Altama 3454-11R Altama # 3468-11W Rocky #RKYCO26-11W All are way too tight, too stiff, can not even wear any of them - definitely substandard China rejects. Do not even come close to the Altama boots I have owned in the past. Purchased these on a clearance with no return policy. Bad-Bad-Bad YOU # 10,000 GI

NICE FIT GREAT PRICE
These are surprisingly light for an 8" high boot. The broke in in one range day. The only reason not 5 stars, I prefer hooks to eyelets on the top three positions for tall boots.
Too wide, uncomfortable
I ordered wide due to reviews saying that they were built narrow. Upon receiving them I found that they were too wide for my feet. As they are clearance I guess I am stuck with them. I wore them around the house on carpeting for a few days and found them uncomfortable. The only positive I found is that they are light but that wont help if I can't wear them.

the finish on this type of boot is not immune to grease stains, other than that they are durable and very comfortable
These are great boots for the money, light wait and comfortable, This fall I will be putting these boots through harsh Montana wilderness testing.
Very confortable boots and for the price you cant ask for more.
Great Mid-Tier Boots

Let me just start this with the fact that I picked these up because they were apparently a great deal for well over 50% off. Consequently, they are actually the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn, provided that they are worn with good, high, wool socks. I can't yet speak for longevity and durability but so far, they are great!
Excellent quality, fit is perfect for the size. Wish I had purchased another pair.
THERE IE NO SUCH THING AS AN EXPENSIVE BOOT.
RUBBING MY UPPER HEEL. PAINFUL NO ARCH SUPPORT.

Pretty Durn Good
The sizing runs a little big, which is aggravating, but Altama's fault not Tactical Gear. Seems to be of sturdy workmanship and quality; will put them through a test soon and and add addendum. Recommend for the price alone.
Bad a$$ boots
No reason for me to ever own another brand name in boots. Most comfortable I've ever worn. I work construction and they hold up to the test of ladders and roofs and whatever else I put them through. Prior military and thank God I found these back then. Very pleased.
Received them a few days ago, and wore them for a full day. They seem to be pretty comfortable so far.
Well worth the price
Love how light weight they are ! Problem with the left boot rubbing the ankle bone causing a sore on the flesh !
Im very happy nice boots, Light
Altama boot review
The boots are light and generally comfortable. I am dealing with heel blisters now but I expect after healing there will be no problems.
Haven't worn it a lot. First time was comfortable, but needs a bit of time to break-in. Nice to have an extra pair of laces. Original laces a bit short, requiring more time to get them on.
As expected, these boot are super comfortable. Great fit. Order your size because that is the true fit. Great look goes with any attire. People consistently comment positive on the boot. Thanks TG. Have a great Navy day!
Purchased pair of 8"Altama boots, great boot at great price. Impressed with Tacticalgear.com's tracking and shipping chronology. Solid communication all around, and a pair of good boots at a great price. Will purchase again from this site. Thanks.
Perfect for warmer weather - need ankle support without heavy brace or wrap. Great look for shorts or long pants.
Over all a good boot
Solid pair of boots, light weight, breathable. Only down side I wish there was a little bit more padding around the heel and ankle
Exactly as advertised
great fit right from the box
In a comparison with the Magnum Spider Elite, I tried both on one after the other and instantly I realized these fit correct right outof the box. My favorites are my Converse Rapid Response, and these came Damon close to the fit and feel of the Converse. The Magnum would take days to break in. Sadly due to a limited opportunity to try both on, I had to purchase both and return the Magnum`s.
Really light weight. Felt like I was wearing tennis shoes. Cool, comfortable. Just need to break them in and make sure you are wearing the proper socks. But so far, I like the boots.
Sturdy comfortable boots that are true to size
These boots are sturdy, comfortable and true to size. I have worn these boots in a high desert environment daily. I am very pleased with the performances during my hikes and while at the work site.
These are good boots. A little tight in the width even on Wide. Great support though. Makes some of chronic foot pain go away while I am wearing them.
These boots felt great from the very first wearing. Break in time felt non-excistent. I do wish they had side zippers but still a very good boot.
Best boots I've ever owned
Wow! These are great boots! I can't believe how light and comfortable they are. We just ordered a second pair for my son. Thanks.

I won't use the boots. I thought that they were hot weather boots. They turned out to have too much insulation for the warm climate of southern Arizona. Since they were closeouts without a return policy, I guess I will be stuck with them and put them on the shelf. I don't believe that the specs adequately described them.

Absolutely love this boot. Lightweight and made very well, no complaints here!
Comfortable right out of the box, hardy and well-made, very practical for everyday use. True to size, if a bit narrow in the toe box. Altama is a "never lets you down" company. I have over 7 pairs of Altamas of varying types, and all are as hardy as the jungleboots I was issued back 25 years ago (and still have). They were probably Altama, too.
Some evidently have found this boot wanting, but I've tried other lightweight 8" military style boots and find this one to be a winner. Comfortable from the start, very well constructed, and providing great support. Long a fan of Altama boots (I currenlty own @8 pair), this is a great general duty boot. It wouldn't hold up to the rigors of technical climbing, etc., but I'd question the sanity of anyone buying them for that purpose. They're designed to be a rugged, reliable "combat sneaker", and that they certainly are. A+++!
I wanted lightweight boots following the boots I received at BMT. I was lucky to find these. They're light and comfortable. You'll feel like you're walking in sneakers. What's nice too is that you can feel the breeze when it's windy; it helps keep your feet warm. I don't think they're water-proof, so if that's an issue, beware. But if you want a comfortable, light pair of boots, then these are your boots. As for sizing, my BMT boots are 9.5W and my Altama's are 10W.
Very lightweight and comfortable. I would run in these for miles!
Worst boots I ever owned
These boots do not run true to size. The are made for someone narrow a narrow heel and large toes. The soles are mushy and the toe is angled up like an elf shoe. Overall not a good boot.
