  • 5 out of 5 Had to change sole - original was't very good. Other than that - very comfortable.

  • 4 out of 5 These boots replaced some boots that fell apart in Afghanistan. I was with an INF platoon and stayed outside the wire for 10 months. They lasted through every dry and wet terrain in Afghan. They are very heavy in comparison to boots coming out these days. I replaced the in-soles after one day as they are very uncomfortable, with a pair of Blackhawk warrior wear in-soles (Blackhawks fell apart in the terrain I was in). They are warmer than normal hot weather

  • 4 out of 5 i have taken these boots through the gauntlet. when i first bought them i was at fort polk, louisiana. now ive been in afghanistan for 8 months. ive had these boots for about a year and still love them. the soles are great for comfort, the only downside is that their stickiness results in lowered treadlife if you mainly use them on concrete/asphalt. also the tread pattern doesnt excel on hardpacked snow and icy areas. where the tread does excel is in sand, gravel, dirt, and rock (very sticky to smooth rock face). also they are pretty good in water, and they dry quickly. i love these boots.

About Altama Hoplite

  • Altama Hoplite military boots provide feet protection from the blistering heat. Its uppers are made of suede and Cordura nylon for durability and the lug outsole is slip, oil and acid resistant. The Aero Spacer lining ensure that the eight-inch boots are breathable even in the hottest temperatures, while their dual-density polyurethane midsole delivers comfort and support for long days in the field. The boots feature an aluminum-coated speed hook and eyelet lacing system, which keeps the wearer's feet secure and steady on rocky, uneven terrain. While they ensure comfortable, dry protection during extreme operations, they are also suitable for light-duty missions.
