Blackhawk CQD Mark I Type E Knife

This is a great knife all around, it is a pretty good size so I wouldn't recommend to carry in your pocket in regular clothing. But, I'm a Marine and its great to carry around in uniform, and I would definitely recommend it for anybody that needs a sturdy everyday knife.

I like the size of the blade and the handle length. Good features. Good for lots of uses and sleek look. Needed a bit sharpening for my liking but now works like a charm for all my needs!

I believe as a right of passage every boys threshold into manhood should involve getting this knife. I had researched and researched for an everyday knife/duty knife for months and came to the decision that the mark 1 was what I wanted. It makes a great solid ping noise when you flip the blade open and has NO wiggle to it at all. Solid knife. Mine came in super sharp. The only thing I could even think about saying negative about this knife is that the carbide glass breaker tip will bite you if your carless while putting/hanging/resting your hands in your pocket. You will not regret buying this knife!

The knife was quality. Held up to a lot of sand and abuse. Held an edge for the time that I had it (about 6 months). I really liked having the seat belt cutter and window popper all in one knife.

Knife is very solidly built (virtually no blade play) and arrived very very sharp. Grip is well shaped and textured. All grip positions are natural and secure. It does not slip. Very pleased with the cutting performance so far. I like the option of a secondary lock on the back. The seat belt cutter and glass-breaker are great features. They might represent some negatives for some. The cutter adds some size to the pommel and the glass-breaker can bite you when you push it into your pocket. It is located at the top of the grip and hides behind the blade when open. The clip is solid and can be moved to either side of the knife though not to the bottom of the grip. This means that I can't carry it in my pocket with the cutter/bottom side up as I would prefer. Over all, I am very pleased. My negative comments are mostly due to personal preference. This blade is accurately marketed as a tactical/defensive knife. It is an impressive cutter with good emergency response capabilities. That said; the tip would probably not stand up to much torsion or prying use. This is an great Duty Folder. Bring a crowbar for the heavy stuff.
