At 15 inches long, the face shield features flat-seam stitching that wards off irritation, even while worn with a helmet. The best part of Blackhawk 's Balaclava is the fact that it's completely constructed out of DuPont NOMEX Fabric. NOMEX is flame resistant, which can be more than life-saving in a flash fire and electrical mishaps.

Blackhawk has designed this balaclava in a manner that it provides the user with total protection from the elements. I am able to tuck it into my mock-turtle neck base layer,and when I put on my insulated jacket,I only use the hood when the it is raining or snowing. The best feature of this item is that it does not restrict your field of view.
