The Point Man is both the rebirth and the evolution of a true classic—the original MOD "Trident" utility folder. The signature ergonomic handle shape and distinctive spear-point blade of the original design are now rendered with all new materials, including CNC-machined textured G-10 handles, nested 420J stainless steel liners, and a black Teflon-coated AUS8A stainless steel blade. Other enhancements include improved lock geometry for its heavy-duty liner-lock mechanism and the addition of a four-position clothing clip that supports both left and right-side, tip-up and tip-down carry. Improved features and a very affordable price make the Point Man an outstanding tactical folding knife.

    • 5 out of 5 I bought this knife for my son, who has quite a collection of knives and seems to have an appreciation for good ones. After deciding to gift him with a knife for Christmas, I set about looking for a nice one. After reading many, many reviews on a multitude of knives, I decided on the Point Man. I'll have to admit that my decision was made when I happened to catch an article in the local paper (Virginia Beach) that the U.S. Navy Seals had released their latest RFP for gear. The Blackhawk Point Man was on the list. I figured that if it was good enough for them.... My son, needless to say, was thrilled. He got a great, grippy, rock-solid knife. It is now his every day carry. He says that it sharpens well, holds an edge, is flawless in operation, etc. He likes the adjustable clip. He says that he uses it for everything--even clearing vines and brush from around the house. I was impressed enough to order the Blachawk Hornet II (a smaller knife) for myself. In short, good quality at a good price!

    • 5 out of 5 Great knife! Medium sized -- small enough to carry everyday; large enough to take care of any cutting task. G-10 scales are comfortable, and the texturing gives it a non-slip grip. The blade grind is a drop-point/ spear-point design that has a sharp yet thick tip for prying and stabbing. Liner lock is simple and sturdy. Open handle design is great for washing out dirt, blood and pocket lint. Pocket clip can be moved to any position. Overall quality and workmanship is outstanding. Excellent value.
