The camelbak name holds value for their reputation of a good product and their lifetime warranty definitely reinforces the price of the products they push. I've owned many camelbaks before but never a milspec unit, so far it's holding up very well. Looks great small enough for day to day use but can be crammed and expanded thanks to the molle webbing. I dig it so far and hope that in a few years while I put it through hell it'll remain in tack.

I recently purchased the MilTac HAWG from this website as well as the BFM. I've put in a 50 mile bike ride, multiple 2 mile runs and a huge dirt-bike adventure across the Nevada desert with it. In the two weeks that I've had this pack I feel that it is a necessity for anybody who is an adventurer, hiker, dirt-biker, runner, bicycle rider or just for civilians who like the look and functionality. The pack has a section for the bladder, which routes out to 5 different openings to loop the hose through. The bladder section has drainage holes at the bottom. The next pouch is a huge main pouch with three loop holes to hook whatever the heck you want on to them. This compartment holds about 2 full sized textbooks. The next compartment is about the same size when fully expanded. This includes an admin section to fit various things. (Pens, wallet, watch, gps, first aid). It may be just my luck, but the admin pouches perfectly and snuggly fit all my items. The last section is a "small" pocket above the velcro line. I thought this pouch was going to be small but it fits my whole hand in and then some. It also comes with a handy lanyard type thing to clip on keys or whatever. Theres also a toooon of MOLLE. I thought I'd be using it a lot because this pack looked quite small, but this is where the pack shined the most and it was completely unexpected. The amount of stuff that you can hold took me by surprise. I think what made me fall in love with it is the sleek, conservative design althewhile being capable of holding all my stuff. (Books, laptop, pens, first aid kit). When full, this pack looks small, sleek and tight fitting (which i love). When empty, this pack can be cinched down without looking baggy or without loose straps flailing all over the place. The buckles on the side have a velcro patch that lets you fold up and secure the extra strap length. The chest and waist rigs don't have these, but the waste strap does have a stretchy piece to hold the extra in. What I don't like about this pack, and this is the only dislike that I've discovered so far, is when I tighten down the shoulder straps, or the waste straps, they slowly loosen and loosen and I find myself having to tighten them every mile or so on my runs. Otherwise, this pack is near perfect. Oh and did I mention comfortable? On runs it doesn't sway or bounce. The water in the bladder definitely does, but the pack stays firm. On bike rides I had a full tire pump cinched to the side of the pack and didn't even realize it was there (until I needed it). And on dirtbike rides this pack is a luxury and makes you feel spoiled. Comfortable ride, cold water which is easily accessible, and headphones routed from the "small" pouch. Man, doesn't get better than that. The water bladder is fantastic too. Heck, I even ran over it with my dirtbike to see if it really was "military tough". Sure enough, it expanded like a balloon, and returned to its normal shape. I don't know about you guys, but I like the durability of military packs (and admittedly LOVE the cool look of this pack) but i don't what to be "that guy" walking around town with a military pack. (Which is weird because I am shipping for the Army in a month) This one fits my tastes perfectly. Conservative looking, sleek, and extremely useful, all while remaining under the radar. Oh, and by the way, don't worry about the laser-cut MOLLE. Tried cutting it with my kershaw knife and nothing happened. What are you waiting for? Drop 130 bucks and get this pack now, I mean just LOOK at the thing! What's not to love?

Good cargo space. Fits well in the helo. The main cargo pocket can fit a regular binder for the paperwork. The front pocket has good subpockets. The small keys/sunglass pocket isn't lined, but it has a handy lanyard sewn into it.

Camelbak is always a great choice and the HAWG has always been a favorite EDC of mine. The 2015 version is very clean. I really love this pack.

Great pack all around. I bought one in 2002 and used it as a mission pack in the Infantry on multiple deployments in Iraq. After 10 years one zipper has ceased, but still closes using the second zipper. I liked this model so much I bought a second newer pack for riding motorcycles in the Mojave. I love the new glasses pocket that was added, and like my new pack even more than the old. This pack is small enough to ride with all day without noticing it being there, but big enough to carry food, water, medical supplies, extra clothes, and tools to get you through the day and night.

This a great weekend hiking or biking pack. I bought it for day hikes and riding my mountain bike. Fits all the essentials like spare inner tube and inflation kits. The big plus of this pack over cheaper Chinese imports is the hydration system. Camelbak makes the best hydration systems with there quick disconnects which make for easy maintenance and cleaning. Also the drinking tube is insulated which is a big plus in Arizona.

This daypack is top hawg! It is my favorite piece of gear. On long dayhikes or backcountry skiing I forget it is there except when I am thirsty. Sturdy enough for bushwhacking but not heavy. Not too big, not too small. Three liters of hydro is as much as I have ever needed. I could go on but...

I Have owned one of these since the mid to late '90s. I used mine for mountain biking. My wife got one (same model name, but extremely different design) in 2004. We both love these things. We can carry as much water as we need. The bladder holds 100oz of water, and if you need to you can buy a second bladder and carry a whopping 200oz. There is plenty of room for carrying everything you will need on a hike, a couple sandwiches, oranges, and cans of pop.

Nice Pack, well made, I upgraded from an old camelbak blowfish that still was working just a little small, now I carry my tools and everything else in one pack and still have lots of room
