I loved these boots at first, very light comfortable.I read reviews saying to stay away because the zippers break easy. However I noticed all of these comments came from people in cold weather areas and i live in Florida so what the heck i'll buy them. With in 4 months the teeth on the zipper for the left boot broke, then a few months later the right boot zipper. The zippers teeth are made of plastic,if you can try to find something with a better zipper or just go with laces.
Very comfortable and well made

So far so good, these boots are well made and the fit is accurate I purchased 11m and the width is roomy. I use them for riding my motorcycle! I like the idea of the side zipper and have no problem keeping them laced up.
best boots I have ever owned.

while I`m not in the service my son is, semper fi. came across these boots looking for stuff for my son and seen the reviews so figured I `d try them out for my self for work. I`ve been in construction for 30yrs so I`v had Redwings ,Wolverines Diehards and others. These boots kick all their Butts in every way comfort, stability, flexibility, traction and not to mention weight. these boots will not wear you down at the end of the day . I Wear a 13 in Nike or other sneakers but in these I was a 11.5 wide so it may take a pair or two to get the perfect fit but it is worth wait ,will be buying another pair to just kick it in LOVIN` MY CHUCKS!
Comfort in the city

I wore this boot for 2 years working security on the Vegas Strip. It was comfortable enough, better than the other couple brands I've tried. Extremely slip resistant, they allowed me to walk through wet kitchens with no problem.
-1 star because of durability. I wish I could put in a pic so you can see the patches I have on this thing. The first thing to go was the plastic shoe lace eye in the ankle joint on either shoe. I patched it a couple of times; I finally cut up some old boots just to get their parts. Next went the sole, but only in the back. I'm sure it was even my fault for just unzipping them, then "kicking" off the shoes. Kicking is in quotes because it was more like using my foot to pull at the seam where the leather met the rubber. Finally the tread went, which was surprisingly not that big of a deal at first. The second layer of rubber is kinda porous, so slips didn't happen. I finally retired them during their second monsoon season. We only get four inches of rain a year, but its enough to get rid of your boots when they start absorbing ground water.
A word of advise. Try untying AND unzipping them when taking them off.
Would definetly buy again

I have really bad knees and about to have surgery on them. These boots make me forget how bad my knees are. They are so comfortable, I can walk with ease. I don't feel any pain until it is time to run. I broke them in with in three days.
A Great Boot!

I have difficulty finding a shoe that is wide enough, yet not sloppy. I also have slightly fat feet (need arch support) and problems with "hammer toe". These boots took about three days to break in. After that they were very comfortable, lightweight and my foot problems went away. I bought a pair for my Dad and he loves them too. This is a great work boot or all hiking boot. I bought a pair for my 84 year old (active) Dad and he loved them too.
Darn good boot

I baught these boots for a new security position I recently got. I started with oxford style boots and had nothing but pain in my bad knee. After switching to these boots I can say I have no more knee pain and less foot fatigue. They are taking a little longer to break in and my narrow foot requires an incert. Overall, I would reccomend these boots.
In the winter of 1908, Converse Rubber Shoe Company commenced production on rubber-soled footwear. It wasn't long until the shoes were picked up by tennis and basketball athletes because of its flexibility and traction. Today Converse stands its ground as one of the most celebrated brands in the world—garnering dozens of nicknames for its shoes, including Chuck Taylors. In addition to sport-specific footwear, Converse designs boots for hiking and military. The brand name also appears on clothing and accessories. Converse boots provide the same comfort that can be found in its athletic shoe styles. For those who spend their workday on their feet, Converse footwear is a smart, well-performing choice.
