Perfect boot with one little problem
Reviewer: SFCG | FT Bragg NC
So like one of the other writers I have torn up ankles and these boots offer the best support out of all of the ones I have owned. They are confortable and just an over all great boot...but they have one issue. The eyelits of these boots stretch..yes I know they seem like hard plastic but on some of them they have begun to stretch and it will be a matter of time before they snap. This is a great boot for day to day army office work but i dont think they will survive combat
Good boots but changed configuration

The boots seem to have changed at least for the pair that I was sent. The eyelets 5th and 6th from the bottom no longer have the strap supports. Just the same as the rest of the eyelets. Needed boots (not my logger type) with the high top support. This model should work if you don't mind the laces needing to be almost taken out near the top to get them on and off. Very nice boots other wise.
Compfortable and Great Fit

This is my first "sneaker type" boot I've ever owned. I'm an old school soldier who was issued black boots. When I was first issued the desert boots before depoying to Iraq I thought I finally had "happy feet". But after trying on the Converse Rapid Response I knew these were the most compfortable boots I've ever owned. I order the same size as my sneakers and the fit was perfect. The boots arrived in about 3 days and I got them on a Friday. I couldn't wait for my duty day Monday to wear them so I walked around the house in them. There is no real break in period but there is a getting use to period. The boots made me feel as though my heel was higher than normal and I felt like I was walking a little different. That went away in about five days. They do have a lot of padding and it took a while to find proper tightness I needed with the laces. I was a little concerned that with all the padding they might be hot. Not a probrem in 90 degree heat and they look OUTSTANDING! I get asked about them everyday. BTW I shopped around and Militaryboots.com has the best price by far.

There's nothing to say but "wow"! Lighter than the Danners I've been wearing and that's saying a lot. Padding supports my ankles and the boot has a natural feel when I step. The sole has amazing tread and is wide so helps with preventing ankle rolls on rocks, etc. Took me an hour or two to get used to the heel since it's not flat; it has a natural curve like your foot. Cannot say enough and this is only day 1 of wearing them.

I've had these boots for about a year i wear them in the snow, rain, on boats and everywhere i go. I've gotten them wet and dried them over fires many times and they are still holding together. They're comfortable wet or dry
In the winter of 1908, Converse Rubber Shoe Company commenced production on rubber-soled footwear. It wasn't long until the shoes were picked up by tennis and basketball athletes because of its flexibility and traction. Today Converse stands its ground as one of the most celebrated brands in the world—garnering dozens of nicknames for its shoes, including Chuck Taylors. In addition to sport-specific footwear, Converse designs boots for hiking and military. The brand name also appears on clothing and accessories. Converse boots provide the same comfort that can be found in its athletic shoe styles. For those who spend their workday on their feet, Converse footwear is a smart, well-performing choice.
