Love at first sight
Reviewer: Pfc. Boots | Germany
I LOVE these boots! Before I graduated AIT, I figured a good pair of warm, waterproof boots would be a smart thing to pick up seeing as I was headed to Germany. Not in the slightest bit do I regret the decision of paying the 330 bucks for this pair of boots. Got a lot of criticism from the guys around me when they heard about these boots on the way out of AIT, but look who's laughing now. Danner customer for life and tacticalgear.com fanatic!
About Danner 10" Fort Lewis Light GTX 400G
Choose Danner Fort Lewis boots for sturdy, reliable footwear for warriors in both military and law enforcement. Designed by two Army officers, these boots more than satisfy U.S. Army Forces Command standards and requirements. Gore-Tex liner is incorporated into the boots, which makes them waterproof and keeps feet dry and protected. Providing stability and traction, the Vibram Kletterlift outsoles absorb shock to keep the wearer more energetic and less fatigued. The 200 grams of Thinsulate delivers loads of warmth and offers lightweight insulation for those working in colder climates. This boot is ideal for military, EMS, foot patrol and law enforcement applications.
Craftsmanship is king when it comes to Danner. Its high-quality work shoes made Danner a household name beginning in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Years later the business moved to Portland, Ore., and found great success by building logger-style work boots. The company found a new focus in the 1960s when outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing were promoted by the Kennedy administration. Nowadays Danner continues to create boots and shoes made with the same precision and know-how it honed nearly 80 years ago. From the leathers to the outsoles to the liners, Danner executes the highest standards with their rugged footwear.
