Excellent warm weather boot.
Reviewer: DJMESQ. | Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Bought these boots for my first African hunt in 2013. I wasn't able to break them in before I left but that was not a problem. They were comfortable right out of the box. Light, cool and very quiet, perfect for stalking. I couldn't be happier with these boots.
This boot is not tall enough
Reviewer: Peter | Duluth
These boots are the second generation of a boot that use to be 8 inches tall. They feel good and are light weight but if you walk afield they will fill with leaves and weeds because the top is so low. So wear your pants over them or you will be cleaning your socks off a couple of times a day. I wish they were 10-12 inches tall.
Comfortable and well made

Have hard to fit feet, walked five miles right out of the box in 98 degree weather. Very comfortable, breathable, high mile boot. Not as supportive as leather, More like a rugged, high top sneaker.

I bought these to use during an early season elk hunt in Colorado. The boots are comfortable with good waterproof qualities, but that's where it stops. The soles offer very little grip when going up or down any type of incline and if it's wet, you would be better off sliding down the hill on your butt. These boots are built for dry level ground!!
Boot leaked but was comfortable
Reviewer: Bob | Dallas, PA
I bought these boots for spot and stalk out west. I wore them about eight time and they began to leak even with some light wear. Anyone who has had wet feet while hiking knows this is not good. I returned them to Bass Pro and got credit for another pair of boots. The comfort of these boots were great, but I could not chance another pair springing a leak while out

The company found a new focus in the 1960s when outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing were promoted by the Kennedy administration. Nowadays Danner continues to create boots and shoes made with the same precision and know-how it honed nearly 80 years ago. From the leathers to the outsoles to the liners, Danner executes the highest standards with their rugged footwear.
