Flight suits are an essential part of the military wardrobe. Initially created to keep pilots warm in unheated cockpits, modern-day flight suits are lighter weight and are often worn over other garments. Completing missions in a confined space can be difficult, and the suits are built to tackle this issue. A plethora of pockets can be securely fastened using zippers and buttons to keep instruments intact during combat maneuvers. Not only are flight suits accommodating, but also many are made from Nomex, a flame-resistant material. Flight suits built by Propper and Tru-Spec are sewn to military specifications.
