    • A must for a small backup weapon.

This is by far one of the most comfortable ankle holsters on the market, Although it is a bit pricey it is worth it. I found this holster to be quite comfortable, even after several hours of use. When using it with a Ruger LCP .380 it is not noticeable by others (I have tested this theory and seasoned LEOs could not detect it, and this was when wearing regular blue jeans. Dress pants would hide it even better. There is one caution. If a pair of pants runs high when seated, it may be possible to detect the holster, because the pant leg rides higher and exposes the bottom part of the holster. The pant leg should be long enough to conceal the bottom of the holster when on the ankle. Recently, the Galco Ankle Lite Holster came on the market. I have not tried this ankle holster, although it appears to be a comfortable holster as well, The bad part of the Galco Ankle Lite Holster is the price tag. Even though it is on sale, the price is $20+ more than this holster. I will be watching for a review on the Galco Ankle Lite Holster in the future. Regardless, since I only have experience with Gould & Goodrich Neoprene Ankle Holster I can only rate this holster. And I can say, at this point, that it is second to none and affordable.

For LE applications with a back-up firearm, I see this as a comfortalbe and reliable alternative. For CCW permit-holders, an ankle holster, may not be an optimal method to carry your primary concealed carry firearm. However, in certain situations, a good ankle holster may be your best CC alternative. In these environments, choose this G&G Neoprene holster. It is not just good, it provides outstanding comfort, a secure fit, and reliable weapon access. I would have preferred a slightly longer length (circumference around the ankle), but it fits a Glock G27 well.

I bought this to have a good way to carry my PPK/S when my Sig P229 in an IWB holster just won't work. In my research, it came down to a choice between neoprene and nylon. I decided neoprene was probably a more secure and comfortable way to go. I have been very happy with my choice. It fits well and stays secure. The velcro strap keeps the gun in place - I don't worry about it when I'm walking. Because of the thick sheepskin pad, I don't feel any discomfort at all. I like it so much and it works so well that I bought the companion cuff/mag carrier for the other ankle.
