This is my first Maxpedition product and I'm very impressed with the quality of its construction. In fact, it's so sturdy that I when I first saw it I wondered if it might not be TOO robust and found myself wondering how to break it in. I stuffed it with sweatshirts and it's taken its proper shape now. I'll be using it for the first time next week. I'm probably going to have to purchase the bottle carrier and a side mini-pack for my first-aid kit. But, that'll have to wait. Maxpedition products aren't cheap...but, they're worth waiting for!

couldn't be happier with this backpack... it IS waterproof as advertised.. first week I had it, it rained like mad here and nothing inside got wet. I commute to work on a motorcycle, yes, even in the rain and cold. I don't have saddle or hard bags either. the size is just right for everything I need and still room leftover for a few grocery items when I need snacks. the pockets inside are perfect as well... like I said, couldn't be happier. love this bag.

Great purchase at a great price. Primary use is when we are doing a road trip on our Spyders.

    • Quality Day Pack

I've owned many back packs over the years. Right now, I own three: a Deuter, a Northface, and a Maxpedition. By far, the stitching and sturdiness awards go to the Maxpedition. Don't get me wrong, I love, love my Deuter pack, but for a daypack, the Maxpedition rules. For me, the philosophy of use for an EDC/daypack requires it to be very sturdy because it will get used a lot. I can see from a short period of owning it that it will last a long time.

    • Condor fits this pack to a T

Size and shape of this back only adds to its excellent quality of materials ond manufacture. The improvements over the Condor I are many and well thought out. The hydration access from the outside back panel without having to open the pack is very smart and if you don't need the water bladder for you mission or job blends in so well its a great hidden storage pocket. The zipper hides in the seam that well. Would make an excellent bag for any operator that needs a get-in-out quick pack.

    • Great Pack

This is a great pack. It's not as large as I'd hoped, but that's my fault for not reading the description a bit more closely. Though not terribly large, this pack is tough as nails. I clearly over stuff it, but it holds together without protest. The zippers are very sturdy, and the stitching seems to be holding up no problem. I also own the Colossus Versipack, and between the two, I haul all my gear back & forth to West Africa (Boots included). They definitely live up to the name "Hard-Use Gear."

Rugged, functional, and attractive this is my first Maxp bag and (as a testament to the quality) will probably be my last. This bag is full of nooks and crannies to let your mind wander on the near limitless stashing/lashing possibilities. I was a little put off that the bag comes from Taiwan; I paid a premium for this pack under the assumption that it was Made in the US but I should have done my research -- no where does Maxpedition advertise this pack being made in the US. And this should not be taken as disrespectful to the Taiwanese as they've crafted a truly great pack.

This backpack is awesome so far. Plenty of room for my personal uses (even fits a 3 person tent in the straps on the bottom). Only time will tell if it'll hold up, but it definitely seems like it will. This is built to last.
