Men's Bates 5" Tactical Sport

First day outta the box-no break-in needed, phenomenally comfortable. On my feet 12 hrs. a day, lovin' these babies

very comfortable, light weight, breathable, good traction and they look good. But after only three weeks of use the soles started coming unglued from the leather. I was wearing them 5 days a week for 9 hrs a day. This was the first pair of bates and last. I've owned a few pair of magnum brand boots and they lasted about a year before they started coming unglued. To me this is reasonable but three weeks is not. I called military boots about the issues and had no problems getting my money back. The customer service rep was very friendly and helpful. They contacted bates about the issue and they sent a return lable. If you don't plan on using these boots for heavy use then they are great but otherwise look for something else.

Boot was comfortable out of the box. On my feet about 50 hours a week and working well.

I have been wearing these boots for several years now. I work in the petroleum industry and they hold up well to everything I expose them to. I'm in them 10-14 hours a day. I wear them to hike in on the weekends and cover very rugged terrain with no mentionable foot fatigue. Traction is excellent in snow, mud, sand, rock, etc. Best buy for the $$$ that I have seen.

light, comfortable, durable...I've been wearing mine constantly for 6 years. Utterly worn out, but considering my average pair of boots\shoes last 18 months, these are doing just fine. I will be getting another pair soon.
