Bates collage It all started with men's dress shoes. In 1885 Bates Shoe Company was just a tiny dress footwear manufacturer. More than seven decades later, the company narrowed its focus to create a uniform dress shoe specifically for the U.S. Navy. From there, its uniform footwear line exploded onto the market.   • 5 out of 5 Great boot...wears for a long time. Comfortable! easy to put on with or without the zipper. Soles of boot stand up to oil, hydraulic fluid, and constant walking on aircraft parking ramps. Definately reccommend it if you want a boot that last over a year.

  • 5 out of 5 I just got these boots today and the shipping was pretty fast even though it was delayed a day due to UPS related problems, It was still early on its arrival! awesome boots love them so far I plan on getting into my police training shortly and these boots will do the trick! also the traction on the sole is WAY better then what the picture shows its deeper then you would think and its all around amazing traction and the boots fit perfect first time no need to break them in even!! Well I have never polished shoes before sooo I am going to let these be my first! thanks bates for making some amazing boots!

  • 4 out of 5 Good boot for any public saftey as a volunteer EMT who responds to some fire scenes this is a great boot. for my paying job it works great within the Police dept too, shines well and the side zip helps for easy on and off.
