Men's Bates GX-8 GTX SZ

There is nothing I could say bad about these. When I got them they fit perfect and are ready to go out of the box. Running is fine and they are easy to get on and off. I got these for an EMT field. At the end of the day I don't want to take them off. So far great boots two months in.

Just received these boots and while they and the box they came in are marked 12 EW or EEEE, theses are no where near as wide as my other boots that are marked as WIDE, or EE.

These are the best boots I have ever owned. My only complaint was a seam split 2 days after I bought them but I put some JB weld in it, squeezed it shut and have worn them for over a year since with heavy use and no issues. I'm sure it was just a bad pair cuz they are very well made and had that not happened I would say they are a 6 out of 5 star boot and well worth the $150 price, nevermind the $120 here.

I have worn these boots day in and day out for over a year and a half, riding the motorcycle, in the woods, at work on miles of concrete, up and down ladders and I am 58 years old, simply put, durable, light weight and extremely comfortable. Others may look the same but they are not. My kudos to Bates, ordering my next pair now and will order again and again.

These are the best and most comfortable boots I have ever owned. This is my second pair and will never wear anything else. I wear them for work and riding my Harley.

I bought these boots 3 years ago for use during commissioning and startup in petrochemical plants worldwide. Hours can be be 84+ a week. I've worn these boots in 8 different projects and they are still like new. My feet are always comfortable!!!

I bought a pair of these boots for motorcycle touring. I was looking for a pair of Gore-Tex boots that would provide good foot and ankle protection, yet be comfortable enough for a full day of walking around, thus eliminating the need to pack a pair of street shoes. (Motorcycle boots are notoriously bad for lots of standing and walking.) I have yet to test the Gore-Tex waterproof feature, but I've worn them every day for the past two weeks and they get more comfortable every day. I'm looking forward to lots of motorcycle travel this summer and I think these may be the best boots I've owned in my 30 years of riding.

I wear these boots to ride my Honda Valkyrie. I love the composite toes and the breathe-ability of these boots. They are very comfortable even for all day rides. They "walk" well and are waterproof. I wear them in summer and winter. I love how easy the zippers allow them to come off and be put on. Really a top notch product and very reasonably priced. Get some.

I've put these boots to the test and they have out performed any other I've owned...and I have owned many. I'm prior military and these boots offer fantastic support around the ankle for running. Whether your like parade gloss or standard Kiwi, these boots hold a mirror polish well. For construction the leather holds up against minor tearing, fraying, and chaffing; kick all you want. The steel toe absorbs shock well. For hunting,fishing, and trapping these boots are incredible. My feet never sweat in the Summer or while running or hiking and have kept my feet warm in a tree stand at approx. 20 degrees F. I've even had my feet in water up to the second(from the bottom) lace with no water penetration. I've really been hard on these boots and after 13 months the only problem I've had is with the sole starting to wear out and fray at the bottom edges; however, given all that I've put this pair through I'm truly surprised it took this long...I normally can only get a high-dollar pair of boots to last about 3-6 months. You'll get your moneys worth out of these guys!

I prefer Bates. They are very comfortable. The Gore-tex keeps my feet dry no matter how long my feet stay in the boots and no matter how hot, cold, or rainy it gets. No sweaty feet! This boot performs well and is durable. My only complaint is with the soles. DO NOT RUN OR MAKE SUDDEN MOVEMENTS ON WET FLOORS INDOORS!!! Slip resistant they are not. The soles are the only part of these boots that will wear out.

I work as a Motorcycle Instructor and spend 6-8 hours at a time on a Hot Asphalt Range. These Boots were Comfortable from the first day. Kept my feet cool which suprised me and get feeling better every day! The only problem I have had is that they are Slippery on damp or wet floors. Worked outside the weekend of the Nashville Flood and wished I would have had these boots! Am now thinking about ordering a lower cut pair of the same boot. Good Value!
