Men's Blackhawk Desert Ops

I am currently on my second pair of these. The first pair wore out in less than four months. The soles of both boots began to crack. The stitching came undone and they stretch more than any boot I've ever owned. I wear a wide but in these I had to go to a regular width due to the amount that they stretch. Why am I on a second pair when the first failed so quickly? Because of the warrenty. Blackhawk replaced them free of charge. If it wasn't for the warrenty I would never have purchased another pair of these. They are comfortable right out of the box and no break in period is needed. The inserts that come with boots are always the weakest link. I added an after market insert and the boots were that much better for it. They are a tad on the warm side. Except for the top of the boot (over your toes, not the ankle part) which remains cool. Other Soldiers in my unit did have better luck with their boots but I know of three others that had to send them back to Blackhawk and get a new pair under warrenty. I went against my better judgement in purchasing a boot with a cemented sole. Welted soles provide better balance and tend to be more durable. I believe that this boot is over priced for what it is, just an average boot with a less than average life span.

i bought a pair of these about 4 years ago and they are just now breaking down. the inside heel is completely worn down to the out side leather. and yet are still more comfortable then most boots i have owned in the past.

I have had my boots for over 4 yrs and i love them. Have no problems with them.

I've had these boots for about 6 months now,and when i first put them on they were the best things ever........... Pros: Amazing outsole,durable and I haven't slipped once! Pretty warm, great for the weather we are having, only the occasional string pointing out of them. Holding together quite well so far. Lightweight, but still feel like boots, which is why I got these over the sneaker boots. Cons: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TWO SETS OF BOOTS! my feet hurt with what we do on a day to day. Gotta space it out. These feel amazing and light at first, but really hurt. Ankle support could be better, I've got bad ankles. The upper seems flimsy, like they could have done more with it,but that's simply nit picking. Not meant for speed laces,which is what I prefer. Overall,if you have a good sub-in set, great pair of boots, give them a try

Wasn't sure about the boot, didn't know of a lot of people wearing them and wondered whether they can withstand the terrain (OEF). I am simply amazed by them. They are without a doubt the most comfortable boots, their lightweight, and look good. Did not expect them to be this comfortable. We'll see how the endure. If they last, i won't buy another boot again. I highly recommend it.

I am a harsh critic, so a 5 star rating is very rare, but these boots deserve it. I only hope they are able to withstand punishment, that is yet to be tested. Out of the box they fit true to size, and they are incredibly comfortable. 0 break in time. I am on my feet over 14 hours a day, and these boots have made it a pleasure. They feel great, they are quiet, and they look good. If you are on the fence about getting these, get off. Buy them, I'm going to order some more for myself.

Best boot for geo field work ever made. Size is spot on, Felt snug for the first hour now it's liking walking on thick carpeting. Good ankle support. Very lightweight. For serious desert work get a lighter color. Outstanding comfort. Best boot I've ever owned.

I am not in the service yet, I am 16. I purchased a pair of these about 6 months ago, they are litterally the most comfortable boots out there. I put them through hell and the only bad thing I can say about them is that they ripped too easy for me. Pro's: Superior comfort, excellent water-proof, very breathable, easy on-off. Con's: Sole wore down fast, rips easy, not enough life time of the boots. I wore the sole flat in about 5-5 1/2 months, but I wore them daily as my work boots. Sadly they didn't have a steel - composite toe; I smashed the hell out of my toes.

I have not received these YET -- but, going by all of the 5 star reviews, I chose them. My husband wore his on several deployments and loved them. I have always been an Oakley fan, but I want something new! I hope I love them as much as everyone else!

Best boots ever. No lie. I believe the rest of the reviews speak for it. Comfortable right out of the box. Feels like you're walking around with a poofy cloud under your feet. Still comfortable after 8 hours of combat simulation. Great boots. you will not regret it. Your feet take you everywhere so treat your feet well. wilth these boots, you've feet will be fine for a LONG time. Buy these. It'll be one of the best investments you will ever make.

I wear a 10 1/2 that's what I ordered that's what I got, perfect fit, amazing comfort from the top to bottom, nearly zero break in required, great traction, boot tread cleans itself well i.e. No mud clumping, I hope these will continue to be available as I have found my boot for days to come. Can't wait to abuse these in the bush!!!

2 years later and still going strong despite rough treatment. Wear them everywhere. Light durable and BA.

I have worn many boots for many years and this boot is the best I have ever worn. I am about to order my 3rd pair now. great right out of the box, no break-in time on this boot.

Very long lasting I have worn these boots for the past 3 years and barely now needing to be replaced.. fixing to buy a new set right now!!!!

I AM WEARING THESE BOOTS FOR OVER A YEAR IN AFGHSNISTAN AND THEIR STILL IN GOOD SHAPE

Very comfortable, very practical. I don't know what I would do without them.

Bought these boots afraid that they might be a half size too big or small, but when I got them on they fit like a glove. Gonna get some good mileage out of these boys

Have worn these boots 10Hrs a day for the past 14months and they're finally starting to look like they need to be replaced. (Sole is starting to separate in on the toe). Like all of the other reviews say these boots are very light and comfortable. Hot weather is no problem either these boots breath fine. The BEST boot I have bought and will continue to purchase.

I have put hundreds of miles into these boots. Compared to other boots they are more comfortable than Oakley's and take more punishment than Rocky's. They feel like running shoes and are super light and are very easy to get on and off. They look great, feel great and can definitely take a beating without hurting your wallet compared to other brands.

I loved these boots the minute I got them in the mail. I am National Guard so only wore to monthly drills until last three months while preparing to deploy. Very comfortable boot and good price when I got them for $100. Now having worn them on a regular occasion the stitching in the canvas is ripping out and I am outside of the warranty period. I don't feel that I have been really demanding on the boots so it's kind of disappointing they only went seven months before starting to fall apart.

I have two pairs of these. They went through some tough marches, during OCS. Never had any issues with them and they fit like a glove. I love these boots. Soon ordering another pair. This is the best price I could have found.

27 YEARS OF MILITARY BOOTS AND THIS IS THE BEST BOOT I HAVE PUT ON MY FEET. THIS IS ONE TOUGH BOOT, SHOULD OF NAMED THEM (TONKA TRUCK TUFF)

These are certainly the most comfortable boot I have worn so far in my life.They are extremely lightweight and feel like a tennis shoe and yet extremely durable,flexible,give pretty good ankle support AND they are water resistant not proof just resistant.The fit was not true to size had to order half a size up and it's still pretty tight.The sole is awesome and grips well to almost everything (except the smoothest ice) only downside is it wears down pretty fast and I have no idea if I can resole it. The lugs on mine are pretty much all flattened out after 11 months of daily use and several miles in them. My only issues with this boot is that they do get a little toasty in hot weather and I wish there were some type of drainage holes for when water goes over and in your boot. If only they were made in the states and standard issue would make a lot of joes happy.

These have to be the most comfortable straight from box boot I have ever worn. The size runs true; they breathe well and have a nice light weight to them. I have owned these for about 14 months now and have zero complaints. They look, feel, and function great!

I'll start this off with what I don't like about these boots. 1. Not very good grip on wet surfaces. 2. No water drainage holes like the old Jungle Boots. Ok, now that's done, let me tell you what I like about these boots. 1. Lighter than Bates "Lites" 2. Better ankle support than a lot of lite boots. 3. Water doesn't get in unless you are submerged. 4. Feel good even while wearing a combat load. 5. Grips well on incline or decline. 6. Look cool. Hope my review helps you make a decision. Any one who has gone through Infantry Squad Leaders Course (USMC) knows what I'm going through right now, and these boots have made me faster, and helped me keep up with the young pups in my class. As an Infantry Squad Leader, my feet are my most precious asset, I bought these in the hopes they would be what Blackhawk claimed they would be, well, I'm not disappointed. I recommend these to anyone who wants to walk a mile in my shoes.

Overall the most comfortable boot I have ever bought. Problem, the second time I put them on the liner in the heel ripped down the middle on the right boot and within a week the left ripped in the same place.

These are the best boots I have ever purchased, they truly are the definition of comfort! If you are like I was struggling with shin splints then this is definitly the boot for you,they are light weight and as easy to run in as your Pt shoes I highly recommend them

I have worn military boots for over years. These boots by far have outperformed any others. The fit like a glove, are lightweight and do not make your feet sweat. Given the extreme Afghan desert conditions, they stay cooler than standard issue boots. The heels do not deform with abnormal walking. I have a slight list to my right side. This wears the heel of my right boot only on my standard issues making the list worst. I have owned these boots for 11 months now and have not seen any abnormal wear on the heel yet. I have gone thru 3 pairs of laces. Because my foot is wide, there is alot of friction at the front of my ankle and I saw my way thru the laces. The tab at the back of the boot is ideal for pulling them up in a hurry and for hanging to air out. Great boot...I wish they were standard issue so I could get them for free ;-)...wishfull thinking.
