Just received these today and right out of the box, they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.
Once the insoles have formed to my foot, they will be even more comfortable.
I'm absolutely glad I purchase these shoes

I have certain pairs of shoes that I really like but for some reason the laces always come untied. Not every pair, mind you, but just a few. It seems like no matter what kind of knot I tie they always work loose several times a day. No such issue with these Blackhawk! shoes. I was worried that the bungie lacing system might not keep the shoe on tight enough but that is not the case...they stay firmly planted. For me that alone was worth the price of admission. The icing on the cake is how comfortable they are. Plenty of cushioning makes my old dogs feel happy.
Great shoe for the money

On the trail, the Tanto Light Hiker provides great traction and stability. It provides excellent pronation control by absorbing the shock of each step and keeping the foot properly aligned whether on flat, even surfaces or uneven trails. The heel is semi-rigid, offering more support, and the top cap is reinforced for protection as well as durability. Made of nubuck suede with a lightweight, breathable nylon mesh upper and a great, quick-access bungee lacing system with a cordlock (one of my favorite features)that keeps your laces neat and protected.
I have both the tan and grey versions and wear one or the other almost daily. This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Equally at home hiking on a trail as walking a city street. Well worth the money.
