Have tried many boots and brands. There is no sturdier yet comfortable boot you can your feet into than the Ft Lewis. Minutes out of the box your feet will feel snug, supported, warm but dry - and remain that way hiking up a glacier, stomping thru an ice covered creek or on a hot sand canyon floor out west. Stylish enough to wear with slacks in an office setting but feel like your comfiest sneakers. Who'd want anything else? Pricey but worth it.

These are the best boots out there for duty! They last forever, and shine up well. They are totally waterproof. Because these are taller than other boots they are tall enough too keep water out of the top and provide great ankle support. I have worn these for 48 hours without taking them off even once!
