Men's McRae 8" Panama

Best jungle boot ever made, even better quality than the Altama. The leather has a very smooth finish, and takes a great shine. The boots are cool and comfortable, with zero break in period. The sizes run large, so order a full size smaller than what you usually get.

Very little break-in period for these boots. I have worn about six different brands of boots in my 7 years in the Air Force, ranging from the BMT issue Belleville to top of the line 5.11 Tactical I got issued before a deployment. Ive been on 3 deployments and a tour in Korea and done my fair share of field exercises and I gotta say these boots are the most comfortable boots I have worn yet. Theres a reason this design has been around for so long and is the perfect hot climate all terrain boot. I recommend getting a half size smaller than what you normally wear (I wear a size 8 normally and a 7 1/2 fits perfect for me).

I live in Central Florida and needed a good hot weather boot. These boots are great! Very well made and durable, yet light weight & cool. The boots are comfortable day 1, and get better as they break in. I will definitely buy these boots again.

I have worn these boots through all seasons and all kinds of conditions and they have held up better than any boot I have ever had! They have survived almost 2 years of just about everything including being worn through the harsh winter conditions of snow and salt as well as summer heat and rain. I have done lots and lots of walking, hunting, and used them as my work boot for my maintenance job. I substituted the laces that came with them with 550 para cord and they have never worn out. They are very comfortable and breathable in the summer heat! I highly recommend these boots!

I ordered these because I really like the style and the Altama Panama were all out of my size. I've been wearing Corcoran Marauders for the last few years but needed and new pair and wanted Panama style boots. I wore an 8.5 in the Marauder but sized down to an 8 with the McRaes and I'm glad I did. They fit me perfect. The first few days of wearing them are not the most pleasent but once they break in they are really comfortable.

Was looking for a USA made Boot. Ive ownd Jungle boots for over 15years. Altima, and Wellco no longer make them in GREEN But these McRae's are just as good. They dont have the marlin Spike protcetion but great boot. However the thread life is not that long if really worn alot.I wear mine daily. However boot can be resoled up using a harder Vibram sole that makes it last foreverSo no need to throw them away as I have done in the past with good boots with worn out soles. Plus its Made in the USA. It does matter.

I have worn the traditional green & black jungle boots before they were phased out. I found these boots and what a treat. They're not very hard to break in like the old leather green/black jungles. I put them on out of the box and they're ready to go! A definite recommendation.

Great boots. I did US Army AA School and they lasted during the whole training, to include the 12 Mi Ruck.
