About Tactical Research

As one of the most trusted military specification footwear producers, Belleville has a long history putting boots on soldiers' feet since World War I. Originally, it manufactured men's and boys' shoes, but soon found its stride in combat boots. Many Belleville boots are made in the USA. However, some processes are not readily available here so Tactical Research was launched. This allows for the introduction of new construction techniques and a lower price tag for individuals sales. The boots feel tough and rugged. They take some time to break in but get comfortable afterwards. Would recommend for day hikes. I work as an LEO for a government agency and use them for work. They are great in cold weather.

I like these boots, I would buy them again. My pair required a minor break-in period, but this was only around the ankle area and was due mostly to me being accustomed to hiking in a lower cut boot during the past several months. The size runs true, I buy my hiking boot/shoes a half size bigger than my street shoes to accomodate thicker hiking socks, I recommend buying yours a half size bigger only if you like wearing thicker socks. I'm finding these boots to be perfect for our nearby mountain trails. Excellent footing, excellent durability.

I bought a pair of TR555 a month or so ago. I ordered the wrong size and I would have given them only a GOOD rating, and but I was going to order another pair sized correctly. Well, I did order another pair sized correctly this time. These TR555 have to be the, by far, the most comfortable pair of all around hiking type boots I have ever had. These are an EXCELLANT BOOT. Very well made and very good design. I only wore the smaller boots for about an hour, unfortunately I did wear them outside. Hopefully I will be able to resell them.
