About Wellco

Originally known as the Wellco Shoe Corporation, Wellco Enterprises' first shoes were much different than the ones it makes today. Lightweight slippers and casual shoes branded as Wellco Foamtreads, the shoes were discontinued in 1985. However, the Tennessee-headquartered company diversified in 1965 by stepping up to produce a military boot during the Vietnam War. To date, Wellco remains one of the top innovators of combat boots. It is dedicated to outfitting both the men and women on the battlefields and those veterans returning home. In addition, civilians and tactical operators throughout the country wear these military boots. No matter where the battle lines are drawn, Wellco works to ensure well-performing products for those in the service.

Excellent boots, good support and wear very well. I use the boots daily in law enforcement. The grip is not so good in snow but that is understandable, they are designed for flight decks. Otherwise, they are the best I have had so far. 18 years wearing many different patrol boots so far.

I have worn many boots both civilian and military with out a doubt flight deck boots the the most comfortable, I wear my current pair form 9 to 16 hours a day 6 days a week and never feel foot pain

After about a month of work the soles began to separate from the boot. I work on rural water systems, and was looking for a boot that was waterproof, slip proof, and had a safety toe. the sole problem realy disappointed me, I would not recommend these to anybody
