The Oakley SI M Frame surpasses ANSI Z87.1 Industrial Standards for high-mass and high-velocity impact protection. Incorporating High Definition Optics (HDO) technology, lens geometry comes in five interchangeable lens shapes. All lenses are made of pure Plutonite, a proprietary material that offers the highest level of optical clarity available in eyewear. You get razor-sharp clarity at all angles of view, which maximizes peripheral vision and protection against sun, wind and side impact.
Features Shatterproof, scratch-resistant Plutonite polycarbonate lenses can be replaced with other colors and shapes, sold separately Polar Ellipsoid lens shape eliminates distortion Hammerfang ear stems provide a 3-point fit to comfortably accommodate various head sizes Patented hydrophilic silicone earsocks and nosepieces become tacky when wet, so they won't slip down when you perspire
Clear Lens - All-purpose. Allows the maximum amount of light through for the most accurate representation of your environment. Black Iridium Lens - Extremely bright light. Comfortable lens tint that offers truer color perception. Gray Polarized Lens - Medium to bright light. Excellent all-purpose lens that cuts blinding glare while offering truer color perception. It is possible to use any Oakley M frame lens in the Ballistic M Frame 2.0. First after removing the lens slide the middle piece a bit to loosen it up, if you have nimble fingers and patience you can even remove the little center piece. I have used all my M Frame lenses in these new and better designed frames. Even the polarized lenses fit.

Since the 1980s, Oakley has been providing U.S. troops with military gear and boots. Best known for its popular eyewear, it has spent millions on developing products for those in the armed forces. This partnership was formed to develop new technologies that improve the safety and performance of soldiers. Over time, Oakley's military line has transformed from a few models to a highly specialized division within the company. At its research facility in California, the company constantly works on new innovations. Some items are not available in retail stores, but luckily a number of military items can be purchased through public outlets.
