Under 1 Pound, Excellent Quality, Get One or Two
Reviewer: Frank D | Syracuse, NY
I bought two, one in Coyote Tan and one in Digi. The quality of these jackets is top notch and the features are those found on much more expensive jackets. I wanted a shell that I could layer under and these are great. Pit zips are perfect and the chest pockets are awesome. I never had a jacket with chest pockets (meant to have access if wearing a backpack and hip belt), but they are cargo haulers. The pockets are deep and you can load them up without the weight pulling on your neck. Regular jackets pull on my neck. There are no handwarmer pockets, but I fine this to be OK. I really don't use the sleeve pocket, but I know I will eventually. I bought the Coyote Brown for everyday use and it is stylish. The Digi is for backpacking/camping. Try to find a goretex under a pound and you will be paying over $300 with Arcteryx or Mountain Hardwear. It is crinkly at first, but seems to be softening up. Zippers are the smaller, tight, waterproof design. Well made and reinforced. There are hem drawstrings and also on the hood. I don't even realize I have the hood up it is that well designed, you can also adjust it if you need to hunker down. I was so impressed I bought a pair of the rain pants also. I am 6', 175# and got the large jacket. It was spot on with room to layer. I bought the medium pants and maybe should have went for the large. That said the pants are just as well made, just a tad shorter than I like. I saw one review saying that it was too thin, so they returned it. I don't think that person appreciated what this jacket is all about. I have written Propper that they should come out with a hiking/camping division. There quality is up there with the MH and Arcterykx brands. Overall, very impressed. Buy one or two.
Great U.S.A. made garment

This is a great price for a no-nonsense 100% waterproof jacket. Military grade Gore-tex, and very light weight. It has a couple chest pockets with zippers, and some vent zippers. There is enough room to layer underneath. Very well made.
