Propper Nylon / Cotton Ripstop BDU Pants

I use these and I treat them hard. No quarter given and they get streached and used very hard in the sand, mud and still look good in inspections. These are a must have.

These woodland camo nylon/cotton ripstop BDU men's pants are quite well designed and manufactured. The large size that I ordered will fit a 35" to 41" waist using straps on either side to adjust the waist. The hems of the pants can be adjusted around the boots snugly with ties. The leg pockets are huge, and all the pockets, two front and two rear, use buttons. Slow but dependable and user repairable. The fabric of nylon and cotton is strong and should deal with abrasion well. Don't overheat while washing or drying (under 130F). Propper, the manufacturer, is the biggest uniform supplier to the American forces. They do it right. Glad I got these. They should last a long time. RECOMMENDED.

Propper is an excellent brand for BDUs. Over the past five years I've purchased both Propper and other off-brand BDU pants and Propper clearly lasts much longer. I've got a pair of the "battle rip" pants that were purchased in 2006 (and are my favorite pants and thus worn as often as possible) and the only sign of wear is minor fading. But I recommend these nylon/cotton pants over the poly/cotton "battle rip" pants. They are much more comfortable. The fabric isn't as stiff as the battle rip pants, and it is lighter weight, which is really important for the summers here in Mississippi. In comparison to the 100% cotton ripstop material which is also available, the nyco is indeed heavier, but it is also more hard-wearing and doesn't wrinkle like the 100% cotton does. The adjustable tabs on the sides of the pants really help with those of us with fluctuating waist sizes. That's what has allowed me to keep the same pair since 2006. The only downside that I can see to these pants is that they are not offered in "short" past size large. But, with the drawstring bottoms you can keep that from being a real problem. Also as a side note, the pockets on the legs are large enough to hold a netbook computer. I wouldn't say it is wise to do it, but I think it's really cool that I can fit an entire computer in my pocket.
