    • I respect Reebok boots in general, but this pair
      Reviewer: Mitchell

      9/13/2016

I have always loved the Reebok boots. This pair of boots wore a blister on top of my right toe in Less than 10 miles. What a disappointment. I will say I have never owned a boot with traction like the sole of this boot. Rock, moss, wet, or dry my feet did NOT slide around on any terrain I was on. The laces are such a small diameter they will about cut through a finger if I pull to hard. Fit is right on the money. I choose not to wear them as my toe is still healing, and that is not good. I put a lot of track on the ground daily and I would suggest taking a second pair of boots if you buy this model

    • Avoid, abysmal quality.

Don't get me wrong, they are very comfortable when they cooperate. Most of the time the tongue was jamming my foot. And the worst part... I went through two pairs in 5 months because of poor quality. The side mesh ripped out of the first pair and the the tongue mesh ripped out from the second. Avoid these boots. This store is awesome and I appreciate you guys so much, please don't let any one else buy these until Reebok releases version 2.

    • Tight and Uncomfortable
      Reviewer: Travis Mollema

      8/4/2016

Did a lot of looking for the right pair of boots. Found these and thought my search was over. Received them fairly quick, tried them on and thought they were snug. Hoping they would break in after a couple uses I wore them anyways. After a week I decided I would have to sent them back. The right boot was tight and didn't loosen up, made walking and stand almost unbearable. The left boot didn't feel good around the arch of the foot. It made my foot hurt the entire time. So, the search for the perfect pair of boots continues.

I was excited about these boots at first, light and comfortable. However, after only about a month of wear they've already started to break down (holes in the sides and soles). Was expecting a lot more life for almost $240 worth of boots.

      5/2/2016

I really like the boot, but the second day I wore them, the outsole on one of them started to separate from the leather. I am quite pissed that I paid $250 for a pair of boots and they are already falling apart. Everything else is great , but for this price range I defiantly expected better.

    • Response from TacticalGear.com

Sounds like these were defective. We're so sorry about that! Contact us with your order information and our Customer Relations team will take care of you!

Firstly, I must commend the ladies in the tacticalgear.com customer service team for their excellent customer support. Unfortunately, the Reebok Krios GTX did not perform well in my case. I purchased two pair. The first set of boots had excess gortex lining which bubbled on either one or both sides of the ball of the foot. Contacted CS and replacement boots were sent, returned the boots with issues. Started wearing the Krios alternating pairs every other day during pre-deployment training. The features I liked about the boots were the wide heel that provided lateral support, the more classic military boot styling instead futuristic alien footwear, the liberal use of suede around the ankle/ Achilles and the generous padding around the calf. Unfortunately, after four weeks of wear (really only two weeks per pair) the suede near the inside ball of my right foot split, right next to the seam, first on one pair followed by the second pair after 3 more days. Once again, excellent customer service and replacement boots were sent. The last two pair again had the bubbling gortex issue so I sent them all back for a refund. A few more notes. The boots are super hot in a desert climate, the gortex did not breath well resulting in sopping wet socks at the end of the day. They came with visible ball point pen marks on the gortex side panels (I assume to aid in the manufacturing process, but visible after final assembly). If Reebok made a version of these without the Gortex inner liner for hot weather, lowered the price to $140 a pair and fixed the defective material issue these would be an excellent boot. Sizing is on par with a Belleville, half a size smaller than normal shoe size. For now I will be going back to my trusty old Rocky S2V's.

Wore these boots in August when it was hot outside and my feet stayed cool and comfortable despite hot outdoor temps. In October and November during fall hunting season the Gore-Tex lining kept my feet dry while hiking through the damp morning backcountry, but my feet didn’t overheat while trekking and the boots dried out quickly. The boots have been great in the winter months, protecting against wind, rain, snow, sleet; and when wearing a thicker wool sock they keep feet warm, but they aren’t hot. The boots have an athletic fit, nice arch support, and the sole is flexible. Made is USA is a plus.

At first, these boots were very uncomfortable, and I rated them 3 stars. Then, we had heavy rains and I was forced to wear them to stay dry. This helped me wear them in, and they became very comfortable, after all. Highly recommended!

Before I joined the Army, I thought that waterproof boots were the standard. Much to my chagrin, boots were not with the exception of the heavy gore-tex cold weather boots. I would find out that the standard is in fact sloshing around in completely soaked boots, and waiting for them to dry by rucking or marching on the go. Enter the Krios. These are the boots to end all boots. The first day I wore them, the God's decided to test them by sending a massive rain and hail storm down here to the desert I work in. These boots didn't retain a single drop, even when I stepped in ankle high water. By the time I got home an hour or two later, the boots were completely dry. I decided to do a test by dumping water into my boot and seeing how it would do with draining. These boots don't have the drain outlets that the issue HW boots have, and the small holes you see on the side don't appear to drain water. Regardless, the water didn't drain that well from the inside. However once I dumped out the water and started walking around, it seemed to dry a bit quicker. They're pretty light. Lighter than issue boots and slightly heavier than Nike. Looks pretty good too, and the stitching job looks like quality work. TL; DR - These are the best boots I have ever bought. I rate them higher than my beloved Rocky S2Vs. They're also the most expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Preordered the boots in May and they arrived just in time for my son to go to camp. The seams pulled away from the eyelets after just one week of marching and drill and ceremony. There was no time to return them before he moved to the more intensive portion and there was a major breakdown of the stitching in the seams. Next time I'm not going to preorder any boot and stick with a proven boot. I do not recommend this boot.
