Love the generous toe box the Rocky boots give. Only problem I had is there is something sticking out in the left toe that makes it uncomfortable. I've read other reviews about this and have been playing with the lace setup. Speaking of laces, it came with regular laces not the 550 that comes with the c5c.

Bit on the tight side when it comes to the top of the foot were the laces end and on the calves I would order a half size bigger than you normally wear

Comfy shoe, ordered incorrect size based on other reviews, but will order correct size in the future. Nice material and it was a great price. Shoe is kind of heavy, great for the field. Only thing is that the company does not offer return labels for refunds. :(

The boots came in time and just single boxed with the Rocky box. The boots are a little bulky compared to the Nikes boots. Very comfortable like a tennis shoe. Haven't rucked or had any field time in them yet.

Good boot fast delivery. However it's not a true size boot. A friend and myself both got boots at the same time and neither fit right, we just switched with each other and all worked out. I recommend buy the boot just watch the size

Came in damaged but got a refund as soon as they received my return. I placed an order the next morning because I really liked these boots. The boots are very comfortable and have a lot of cushion. Feet great for a flat footed person (Wide). It fits perfectly. (size 8.5 W)

These boots are very comfortable and lightweight. I bought these as my "work boot" that I wear at home after work and on the weekends. I could wear these boots all day everyday. I have had several surgeries on my ankle. Comfortable shoes are hard to find or extremely $$$. I am very satisfied. Thank you.

This boot was made to be beat up. I use these boots for every event. Once broken in they won't hurt your feet, of course, you need to pare them with the right socks. I would recommend these boots. Hope that helps!

      3/8/2016

The sizing for this product is somewhat difficult then any other Boots that I've order... Ordered a 12M but it seems to be wide around the balls of my feet / toe area.. Usually or Regular/ Med, but product seems to be wide.. Better information when selling this product about the sizing would've been nice.. Rocky is great boot.. No problems in my past..

      11/24/2015

These shoes look good but are not comfortable at all. They are not light, they are built with all of the stitching exposed on the inside of the boot making various parts of the boot rub your foot raw, and the sizing is way off...I had to buy a full size down. Just stick with the Rocky SV2s.

For wearing Rockies for over 5 years these are pretty solid. Other reviews said that they pinch, they do right where the laces start I just got them wet and laced them up and it went away. They handle well on rucks and rope climbs, and after they break in they are pretty comfy! All in all a solid boot

      Reviewer: Steve

      4/9/2015

Ordered two pairs to get right fit and wear ASAP. Larger of the two fit best. The boots pinched like others wrote about in previous reviews. There is a leather seem that folds over and pinches the top of your foot when worn. Simply placing athletic tape over the seems solved the issue. Other than that no issues. So far a great boot for rucking and garrison wear.

      4/3/2015

First pair came in 1/2 size too big. Second pair came with a gap between the sole and boot where it is being held by glue on one of the pair. I guess Rocky's QC missed that one. Will need to break in the boots. Don't know how long being that I'm the the National guard. Their okay pair of boots.

Great right out of the box. The Cordura takes a few days to break in. It starts out pretty loud. About as good as the C4T but would be better if it didn't have to meet the army guidelines. My C4T's lasted longer thanormal any other boot I've had, so hopefully these Will too

    • Too heavy
      Reviewer: Roger

      3/26/2015

I have been searching for a light-weight military-type boot that is as light as a tennis shoe and as flexible. Sorry, but this isn't the one. Too, too heavy and stiff, very little flexibility. I need to send this back and try again. The military-type I've been searching for now is being discontinued, two versions now defunct. Why, I don't know.

    • Response from TacticalGear.com

We're sorry to hear these boots weren't what you're looking for! Because the RLW boots meet Army regulation, they're built with a focus on durability. As a result, they might not feel as light and flexible as other boot models on the market. If you'd like to reach out to our Customer Service department, one of our knowledgeable associates would be happy to point you in the direction of a boot more suited to your needs.

      Reviewer: Erich

      3/16/2015

I just received a pair of Rocky Lightweight RLW's I tried them on and as the reviewer in Early Review comments, there are a couple of points on the top of each foot where it seems the manufacturer has sewed the leather lace unit the toe box and canvas upper. These points dig into the top of one's foot making them immediately uncomfortable. Where I departed from the reviewer in Early Review is I immediately sent them back. Now that I see my experience was not unique, I think I may steer clear of the boot. Unfortunate, because as described the offered so much promise.

    • Response from TacticalGear.com

We apologize that you experienced this issue with your boots! If it seems like a defect, feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team. Many of our manufacturers offer a defective warranty. We'd be happy to check your eligibility!

Priced well. Only thing that could improve comfort is a little padding along the back above the heal on the achillies tendon. Great traction. The wide foot gives plenty of grip.

      Reviewer: JD

      2/17/2015

Very uncomfortable out of the box. There is a point digging in the top of my left foot where the tongue meets the toe box. This issue seems to be hit or miss with the similar type of boot design the (C5C). I was hoping they would just need some breaking in because of the leather being stiff. I have been wearing these around garrison casually for a week and the problem is still there. I might have to resort breaking them in with other methods. I was hoping they would be comfortable right out of the box but that wasn't the case for me. I really love rocky boots but they have to fix this issue with this boot design. I also noticed the boot was not made in America. And the perforations on the collar were barely existstant and might as well have not even been there. They need to be more pronounced and should go all the way through the collar to maximize airflow. And the Nato hooks for the speed lace system were obviously put on without care or presicion. At some points it was very difficult routing laces through them due to there not being enough space for the laces to go through. With the Rocky light weight boots I recieved it was obvious that whoever put these boots together were going for quantity and not quality.

    • Response from TacticalGear.com

JD, thanks for sharing your feedback! We're sorry to hear you aren't happy with the comfort level of your new Rocky boots. We haven't heard this feedback, so it is possible there might be a defect with the pair you were shipped. If you want to contact our Customer Relations team, we would be happy to look into this and see if you might be eligible for manufacturer's warranty. Thanks!
