Great Weapon Light
Reviewer: JCinNC | Oakboro, NC
I have a SureFire X300 Ultra on one pistol and wanted another light for my nightstand Glock. I like the higher lumens for both indoor and outdoor use.
I ordered the Streamlight TLR-1 HL because of several very good reviews, the price is about half that of the SureFire and the new HL model has high lumens.
I found that the rocker switch on the Streamlight is easier to use than the Surefire and the strobe is nice. Both lights have great beams, brightness and spread. IMHO the Streamlight is a much better value.
I liked it so much that I ordered my second Streamlight TLR-1 HL to put on the rail of my HD and night time critter rifle.

I wanted a small but bright light for a home defense shotgun, and this light was perfect.
It was easy to mount on my SG's magazine tube and is easy to activate.
It puts out a surprising amount of light for such a small device.
I haven't had the opportunity to test the light when firing my SG, but again, the gun is for home defense and not night target practice.

I purchased this light to replace my TLR-1 C4 that was lost. This HL is bright! The beam is much less focused than the C4 which prevents using the halo as a quick target acquiring tool during CQB. But it does flood the area with tons of light. I was worried about it getting too hot with it having the warning and cooling fins on the light. So far, it has gotten warm, but never hot to the touch. Great light. I have been a Streamlight owner since the M3, and the only feature it lacks is the push-on which the much more expensive Surefire X300 has. Other than that, this is a superior weapons
Super Bright Sidearm Light
Reviewer: Joe | Omaha
I bought this to replace my original TLR-1 & I couldn't be more pleased. Over twice as bright & really helps out in night patrol operations. It's more of a short range, flood type light so I can't say if it would work well on a rifle but it is amazing on a sidearm. Shipping was super fast as well as I received my light in 3 days from the day of order. Overall I'm very impressed.
streamlight rlr-1 hl

This light is outstanding, I had the TLR-1 prior and it worked fine, but the HL is twice as bright both lights have the same strong attachment that has an easy off and on as well as the strobe feature. I cannot recommend this light high enought.

Extremely bright, reasonably light weight, perfect fit on the rail with no slop or movement. TacticalGear.com had it shipped out the very same day I ordered it. 1st Class merchant with unbeatable prices and I will be revisiting soon! Thank you.

I received the tac light ahead of the scheduled delivery date. All intact, no problems. Simply instructions are included explaining installing batteries and how to attach to your firearm. All set and ready to use in a couple of minutes. Easy to operate and a bright light in darkened rooms. If needed, this will serve its purpose.
Very Bright! Excellent Light.

The light is advertised as having 630 lumens, and I believe it. It easily lights up an entire room no matter where it is pointed. The only drawback to the intensity of the brightness is that it will temporarily ruin your night vision. However, the other side of the coin is that if you point this at an intruder when in constant on or in strobe mode, they aren't going to recover their ability to see anywhere near as fast as you will on the other end.
The light secures very well to my Daniel Defense 7.0 Omega rail and the selector on the works great. Overall, the light has a very solid feel and although I have not had a chance to go to the range yet, I have no doubt that the light will function and perform flawlessly.
