The single-output Z2X, designed and built specifically for tactical use, produces 200 lumens of brilliant white light from a high-performance LED that is virtually immune to failure since there's no filament to burn out or break. It uses a micro-textured polycarbonate reflector to create a smooth beam with optimal light distribution—excellent reach combined with significant surround beam for peripheral vision. The Z2X body is machined from aerospace aluminum and finished with Mil-Spec matte-black hard anodizing for superior scratch, corrosion, and abrasion resistance. The CombatGrip design—reduced-diameter mid-section and rubber grip ring—is perfect for flashlight/handgun techniques and also provides a secure hold even with wet, cold, or gloved hands. Features ergonomic tactical switching—press the tailcap switch for momentary-on, twist the tailcap for constant-on. Also available with a Nitrolon polymer body as the G2ZX.

About SureFire
- The tale of SureFire can be traced back to 1969, when Dr. John Matthews established the Newport Corporation. Dedicated to harnessing laser power for industrial uses, the company soon grew to be a leader in the field. After much success, Matthews turned his attention to his hobby of shooting and developed the first laser sight, which would lead to the founding of Laser Products. It quickly grew after loaning the L.A. SWAT Team laser-sighted shotguns for security at the 1984 Olympic Games. Years of working with law enforcement agencies led to the first SureFire weapon-mounted flashlight. Armed with this advantage, tactical and military operations have never been the same.
