Perfect little number, 5.11 Alpha Scout Folder
Reviewer: Dude Man | Fremont, CA
This is my daily carry, do everything folder. Went from a larger 4.75" (closed) folder to this size (3.75" closed) because I like carrying it in my front pants/short pocket and the larger size knife made it more difficult to acquire my wallet when needed. Had to explain on several occasions why I feel it necessary to carry a knife when it accidentally hit the floor at a department store. This size is perfect in my medium sized hand for gutting trout :) Being all black the clip doesn't stand while hanging on my pocket. It opens very easily, I like to flick-out the blade one handed and it locks every time. Easy to close with one hand as well. The blade came super sharp and time will only tell if the edge will last but I've always been impressed with the quality of 5.11 products so I'm pretty sure it will go the distance.

I'm really impressed. A tank of a pen.

I love this knife, it is nothing less than top quality, used it on hiking trips and shaved wood for kindling and tinder for starting a fire and it stayed sharp for a good long tine before i had to re-sharpen the blade. Handle is very sturdy for a plastic handle, when or if the knife breaks, i will certainly buy another one of these.
