About Thorogood 8" "The Deuce" Lace-Up CT

  • Thorogood "The Deuce" boots are just one in a long line of styles that provide strength, durability and comfort in any situation that requires tough, resilient footwear. With cement construction, these boots are safe to wear in electrical hazards and are able to resist up to 18,000 volts of electricity. With a dual-zone wicking mesh, they are waterproof to keep the wearer's feet completely dry while keeping feet safe from bloodborne pathogens. A molded rubber heel stabilizer offers strong support. Thorogood has made shoes for nearly a century; the passage of time and increasing demands in high-durability footwear have not changed its commitment to producing footwear that provides support and endurance for a number of labor-intensive fields, including the military.

About Thorogood

Thorogood collage Back in 1892, Wienbrenner Shoe Company started out as a cobbler building boots for "jobbing" trades. As the demand of safety footwear grew, so did the need for more specialized boots that catered to the needs of specific industries. The Thorogood brand was officially introduced in 1918 as a maker of work boots dedicated to particular occupations. Durable to down to the sole, Thorogood footwear strives to create products for those employed in the military, tactical and other labor-intensive fields. The boots offer lasting support with composite shanks and a two-density rubber outsole with integrated EVA impact pads. Thorogood's boots work just as hard as the people wearing them.
