I thought it would be a little heavier material

I am not to disappointed in jacket. It does look water proof but I thought it would be a thicker material. Should had bought the one with the liner in it.
No Quality Control Check Before Shipment

I just got the one I ordered and right out of the box the zipper was broken on the right side map pocket. Obviously, there's not somekind of quality control check before shipping the product and it reflects poorly on the MilitaryGear.com. This was my first time ordering from this website and my last.
We're really sorry to hear that! This item shipped directly from the manufacturer but this is definitely not an acceptable customer experience. Please contact our Customer Relations team at your earliest convenience so that we can make this right for you! - TacticalGear.com

I put this on for the first to wear it outside on 20'F day and it sounded like I was wearing a paper bag full of potato chips.
Size, fit, and features are great, but this isn't for stealth.
Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait Tested

I am a former soldier and currently working as a DOD civilian. I deploy frequently and need special military grade clothing. This jacket is a fraction of the cost of an official military gortex jacket yet performs the same. The dintex fabric acts the same and breathes the same and is warm and rain proof. The added pads on the elbows is a nice touch. I have an Army fleece jacket and it just zips inside and snaps inside perfectly because this jacket is made to the same specs as a military
Atlanco may have started as a small, regional distributor of military surplus items, but it would eventually grow to be one of the leading clothing manufacturers in the industry. Although the company continued to buy and sell military surplus, the Atlanco brand became known throughout the public safety sector. In 1996, the company's leaders realized the need for an ambitious, functional approach to military and law enforcement apparel. They created Tru-Spec. The name displays its commitment to only producing gear and apparel that meets U.S. government "true specifications" of utilizing mil-spec fabrics. Designed to perform, Tru-Spec is trusted by operators throughout the world.
