After reading the other reviews , I ordered the size that I would normally wear and it fits perfect! They run a little large due to the ability to put a liner in it. It was raining the day I got it and it rained for two more days and I stayed nice and dry

      Reviewer: Patrick

      3/13/2017

This jacket was great except for the cut around the waist- it was huge! I could fit a basket under the jacket with me.

    • Response from TacticalGear.com

We're sorry to hear this was too big for you in the waist, Patrick. The ECWCS Parka is meant to be layered with several other ECWCS gear, so it is possible that this is what's causing your sizing problem. But if you would like to make a return, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our customer relations team is happy to help!

    • Best all weather waterproof jacket ever owned.
      Reviewer: George Valentic

      2/28/2017

Spend a lot of time in nature working with wildlife, alone remote locations, what you bring is what you get... you can depend on this jacket. If you really are an outdoor person, not just a part-timer... you'll be content. The best all-round camo pattern out there (finally). For 30 years used other high quality, high-priced mountain-type parkas, this one is made tough. Back then, wish it was part of my Army issue.

      Reviewer: Greg K Summers

      2/18/2017

I loved the jacket and the fleece liner but the sizing chart does not tell you that the jacket runs big. I normally where a large/extra large in jackets so ordered the xl long and I swear this was more like a 2xl or bigger. So i returned for the large long and hoping this fits better. Anyway - awesome jacket and very warm with the liner. Excellent construction and roomy and plentiful pockets. I like the adjustable cuffs and ventilation in arms. Even without the fleece liner this jacket is great for Atlanta weather. Cannot wait to get my replacement jacket and give it a workout. I will come back and update this review. However, I think this is an excellent jacket.

      1/27/2017

This Parka really does a great job keeping out the elements. I highly recommend getting the fleece liner if you live in the northern half of the country. It is comfortable, but it took a few days wearing before it lost some of the stiffness. No matter how you look at it , it kept the weather out, so it did as advertised!

      1/26/2017

Now don't get me wrong, I love this jacket, I think it's pretty awesome, and I'm a pretty big guy so I got a size 2XL long. But when I got it, it was waaaaay to huge! I still love the jacket but I think it'll be better with a normal sweater underneath. I will buy another one with the polar fleece to make it feel better with shorter size. Love this jacket all in all in the woodland camo.

I looks great and is sturdy, holds up to wind and is nice and warm with a fleece zipped in, but it doesn't hold up to rain like Gortex does. All the seams leak especially around the shoulder and elbow joint and the seam around the hood bill came unglued. I'm holding on to mine as a spare.

I've yet to test it out in the rain but I have great expectations about the jackets performance; based on the reviews and what I've seen on videos. The quality of the jacket is top notch. I love the way it feels on me. I like the fact that it's not stiff as too make me feel like the tin man.

      Reviewer: Kane V

      12/30/2016

I guess i will get the only negative i can say out of the way, not as built for cold weather as i thought; as another reviewer said, a "hardcore" rain coat. Definatly will not get wet in this, unless you literally jump into water. Which if you read carefully, there is a seperate zip-in fleece for warmth(sold seperate) but i also bought a truspec softshell jacket. My normal habit being a hoodie and leather jacket. So being replaced by softshell jacket and this. So the combo worked fine for me, but i may even purchase the zip-in fleece for extreme temps. As for size, im that weird in between i get some medium and some large clothing, and definatly go the smaller side if youre like me, this thing is spacious. Overall well deserved 5 stars and a loyal truspec customer now! And tactical gear!

    • Exceeded my expectations!
      Reviewer: D. Lovejoy

      12/29/2016

I bought this in multicam along with the zip-in fleece liner on sale from TacticalGear.com for a total of $160.00. I just received it today and it far exceeded my expectations. I bought one in coyote brown 3 years ago, and the quality of this newer multicam parka is vastly improved. First off, it was not made in China (it was made in Indonesia), and the quality shows. The left and right internal map pockets used to have Velcro closures (which I hate), but they now have really nice zipper closures. The lower adjustable ziplock cord no longer hangs from the bottom hem. Instead, its hidden in the hand warmer pockets, so you can make adjustments with your hands in your pockets. I'm an active duty Army officer and plan to wear this parka and liner with my OCP ACUs during my cold and wet trips in and out of the Pentagon. The shell is comparable to the OCP official issue shells, which aren't even out in the military clothing sales stores yet. On top of that, it's about $50 cheaper AND includes a zip-in fleece liner. Yes, there is a logo on the back under the collar, but I will color it out with a sharpie and keep the hood out to cover it. Highly recommend...fits true to size. I will post more after first field test!

It is comfortable, not a lot of Velcro. Keeps the wind off.

Great, exactly what I was looking for. Only thing I need now is the liner that goes inside, because I will be using it in single digit weather.

    • Good jacket, but it has a logo on it

The jacket itself is superb. The only down side is that it has a logo embroidered into it at the base of the neck which makes it questionable to were in uniform.

More like heavy duty rain gear, not at all insulated. My idea of a parka is a bit more robust

    • Nearly-Perfect Parka ...
      Reviewer: Bard

      8/3/2015

My Tru-Spec Parka (XL/L) fits perfectly (over a t-shirt and a uniform/tactical coat; since the label tends to run "big", I compensated for the "bulk" element). I love the fit, as well as the overall quality of the parka. Why 4-stars vs. five? I wish the cuffs featured a combination Velcro/Button closing system; my only concern is that with time, the Velcro may wear out @ some point (depending on usage). IF that happens, I can always replace the Velcro, or else have a seamstress add buttons/button holes. In sum, though, I'm very pleased (so far, at least) with the purchase - the fit is secure-yet-flexible, the zipper is strong, the snap-closures are practically seamless, and the parka's lining is well-padded.

    • Excellent "Parka"

I love this TRU-SPEC ECWCS Parka. It fits EXACTLY as expected (@ 6", 195 lbs., I prefer an XL/L). It's both attractive and utilitarian in design - it keeps me dry, plus there are plenty of pockets for storage purposes. I wish it had wrist buttons/snaps to reinforce the Velcro straps, but that's a minor quibble. The liner is easily removable, and the result is a light-weight rain jacket for South Florida's frequently-inclement summer weather.

I received my jacket and it looked good. Good water resistance. All the seams that were taped the tape came off.. Despite this I still wear it. had to reseal taped seams.
