Perfect for the style-savvy operator, Vertx Kryptek tactical pants boast an attractive low-profile cut with high-capacity pockets and functional features. The impressive 9-pocket design not only provides room for essential equipment, but organizes it intelligently. Pockets within pockets along with a hidden pocket offer security to keep important items concealed and protected. Comfort isn’t an afterthought. The stretch waistband, gusseted-crotch and articulated knees and hip provide flexibility to encourage natural movement. The intimidating Kryptek camouflage is printed on impressively durable 50% nylon / 50% cotton ripstop fabric, meaning it not only looks tough, but it is tough.

I bought kryptek highlander for hunting. But was greatly disappointed. 3 hunting trips I snagged on sage brush it ripped, 2x2 square inch hole. But at this price it should be better. Even pair Wranglers or Levi's handles better. I live in the Southwest. Very arid and dry country, alot of brush. I like the fit (34 x 34), love the kryp cameo pattern, pockets are just ok. But for the price it needs to be more durable.

Great Pant, Sizing Issue
Reviewer: Marty | Boulder
Seems like everyone else had no problems with sizing, but I really wish I had gone up a size both in waist and inseam! Other than that, a phenomenal pant that is very well thought out and performs impeccably.
My fifth pair of Vertx pants
Reviewer: Greg | Redlands
This is my fifth pair of Vertx pants. I own three pairs of the phantom lt and this is my second pair with the Kryptex design, I have the nomad style too. These pants are the perfect weight. I live in Southern CA where it's warm all year and I wear these all year long. They're great for hiking, or hunting and great for travel. I fly a lot for business and the low profile tactical look is perfect. I get the comfort and usability without looking like a middle aged wanna-be. I highly recommend for the weekend warrior and the business casual
Nice camo, crummy design
Reviewer: Dennis | Redmond
Rear pockets are open top (i.e., no means to secure content such as a wallet -- I had a buttoned flap sewn on). No knee pockets (e.g., ACU, 511 and others). Front pocket lips should be double walled to aid clip-knife retention. No calf storage pockets (I typically store a tourniquet in one and junk in the other). No cuff closure tie.

I think these are far better than the non rip-stop 100% polyester Kryptek pants I purchased before in the Highlander pattern as these were made to last and are pretty heavy duty. These are heavier but the stitching is superior and the Highlander polyester got nicked and faded plus the material also balled and fuzzed up pretty bad after the first washing in cold water with very mild detergent but not so with these. These do not have blousing strings but I always used bands anyway to keep insects out but fit true to size.I guess my only small gripe is I don't like zipper fly pants and there are zero buttons on any of the pockets but that's better than noise making velcro for me.I was a Navy Parachute Rigger before a Grunt and do know my way around a sewing machine and the back stitching at the stress points is a nice touch. The color has not faded after 3 washings but time will tell but I went through some thick bush with these that would have torn the other polyester pants to pieces. This pattern and color are great for my woodlands and are worth every penny so you can bet I will be buying more.Highly recommended and IMO the very best camo pattern available and lots of compliments from outdoorsmen.I hope they soon offer kneepads in this scheme and can't wait for the shirts.A+++,buy these as you won't be sorry and the 50/50 nylon cotton rip-stop blend blows the polyester away and I hope the color holds fast but am very pleased and I am not easy to please :~D
Blends well with back ground
Reviewer: bc4h10 | portland
I think the pattern blends well with back ground but the price could be dropped to about 50.00 then I would by more even a whole set of the desert color. I purchased the woodland color but it still blends great in sand

Overall, I'm very satisfied with these pants. Some may not like the lack of double seat and knees, but I applaud it. This allows the pants to be lighter and cooler in hot weather. My only gripe...the lower legs are a little too baggy(designed for concealed ankle holster).
Summary of pros:
Lightweight, Mil-spec 50/50 nyco ripstop fabric far superior to any poly-cotton blend. Articulated cut allows freedom of movement. Fit true to size. Streamlined pockets don't snag on brush. And of course, the pattern. IME, the Highlander alone outperforms Multicam for concealment. When all of the patterns are used in their respective environments, the Kryptek patterns beat Multicam or any other pattern I've tried hands-down.

These pants were disappointing, no reinforced knees, or crotch, no extra pockets. Colorful cargo pants that look like something Joe Walsh would wear on stage.

I jumped on these as soon as the email arrived my inbox announcing availability. The camo pattern and colors are nice and something different. I ordered my usual size and the waist and length are true to size (for my 32 x 32). The legs, and especially thigh area are really full and roomy. Almost too roomy for my style. It does allow for full movement with no restrictions.
The tech features like articulated knees and waist are well executed as are the pouches in the cargo pockets- you can easily access them when sliding your hand under the non-Velcro pocket flap. Seams and stitching appear good but there are lots of dangling threads that need to trimmed.
The fabric is a bit stiff although that may be from the pattern printing because the fabric itself is not that heavy. They should soften after some wear or laundering.
Overall 3 stars because I was expecting a bit more for this price point in a tech pant.
