The Gunfighter series was designed in cooperation with SWAT operators interested in a clean, functional approach to a high incident tactical uniform.
With this advancement of the traditional BDU, Vertx strips the body of the Gunfigher Phantom LT Top for extended comfort when worn under body armor, plates and chest rigs. The aggressive patterning of the gunfighter facilitates the freedom of movement without the added bulk and weight of traditionally patterned BDUs. Gussets, articulation and the microfleece lined stand up collar combine to provide the gunfighter with predatory comfort.

Good, but not great

The fabric has held up fine. In active use since October 2014 to Jan. 2015. Main zipper broke the other day during training. Tailor had it fixed in a few seconds with a new YKK zipper. Pocket zippers hold up fine so far. Bit tight on the elbows, but that's what you should expect in this type of uniform.
Vertx is the result of a collaborative project spearheaded by Fechheimer Brothers, a Berkshire Hathaway company. The brand combines the tailored garment production expertise of Fechheimer, vision of Arc'teryx and feedback of federal law enforcement for its line. Backed by the financial strength of Berkshire Hathaway, the very first Vertx product was unveiled—premium tactical pants. Designed around the needs of the operational athlete, the clothing has a low visual profile, functionality of a battle garment and the appearance of casual dress. Grounded in public service, the operational athlete requires high quality yet discreet tactical clothing.
