Great Jungle boots
The old school jungle boots have always been the most comfortable and rugged. Unfortantly, Wellco and Altama are going through some financial difficulties so finding a good pair in the future will be hard, buy them now if you can find them!
My pair weren't the best
The seams ripped within the first week of wearing them, parts of the boot actually fell off, not sure if they were made properly. It could be I got the one in a hundred or so that were bad, but, I got what I paid for. I wouldn't recommend these boots based off of my experience.
They are awesome
Feel good , look good, glad to have the widesize. Needed to complete my uniform to instruct the Young Marines. Still new so nothing bad.
I got these to supplement my Lowa Renegade GTX boots for those days where gore-tex really is not an option. This summer will be spent in hot, humid environments these boots were designed for. I have already worn these boots on a day hike in LA and I must say they are pretty comfortable one you lace them properly. I order a half-size up because I like to use thick socks, so they felt a tad loose when I wore standard Scout socks (going to the Jamboree) but were otherwise comfortable. Only gripe is the insole is cheap, the fabric cover ripped right off, but since I'll be wearing wool socks that wick moisture away already I can not complain. I would definitely recommend this boot for its price, adding a better aftermarket insole would still be cheaper than the newer designs out there.

These boots are everything I was looking for. I got these as a good police boot for the job that I'm going in to. I noticed these boots are well made, light weight, easy to put on and take off, and have great looks. They also allow your feet to actually bend when running without being restrictive. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for good boots at a good price.
Do not fit my needs
I got these boots hoping they wouldn't fall apart like my other hiking shoes. The boots were delivered as promised, but I have a few issues with them. The nylon insole liner peeled off 10 miles into my first hike - blisters. The part where suede meets the nylon above the heel requires break-in - blisters. And they are made in Peru, which I wasn't aware of when I placed the order. These boots may be fine for classrooms, or formation, but I honeslty can't imagine them being used in actual combat, unless the goal is to limit your own mobility. And they are definitely not good for hiking on rough terrain.
worn daily for near 4 years
