Women's Bates 8" Tactical Sport SZ

Right out of the box they are comfy and light weight. Usually I need a gel footbed, but not with these. I immediately took the dog for a fast hike on concrete the whole way through town for about 1.25 miles. They are exactly what I wanted. As I was walking my calves bulked up a little and the upper tightened up so I loosened them. WHAT A GREAT DESIGN! I wear 9.5, so little I am not, and these fit the bill well.

best boots I have ever owned! need a new pair!

My wife is a EMT and the Bates Tactical boot is the best fit and most comfortable work boot she has ever put on her feet.

I bought these boots recently as a smart lightweight boot for my work as a medic on a drilling rig in the North sea. I also do voluntary work for ST John ambulance and being ex Royal Navy I do occassionaly go for a rum in them. The grip is very good and the support excellent. They are also very light and have kept my feet dry in hot environments. The side zip makes them very easy to take off (especially at my age). I will be reccomending them to my mates. I would prefer a hard toe cap for safety and may get a pair of Bates with a hard toe cap as a comparison in the near future. I am very pleased so far.

I really like these boots! It's my first pair of 8" boots and I was afraid that they would really bother my ankles and legs, but they are very comfortable and they were easy to break in. I would definitely buy another pair.
