About Danner
- Craftsmanship is king when it comes to Danner. Its high-quality work shoes made Danner a household name beginning in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Years later the business moved to Portland, Ore., and found great success by building logger-style work boots. The company found a new focus in the 1960s when outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing were promoted by the Kennedy administration.
