How much do you need to carry? The multi-pocketed Elite Vest has a place for all that and more. The vest starts with a durable, breathable cotton outer shell, treated with DuPont™ Teflon® Fabric Protector for a durable, breathable finish that repels water and oil-based spills, and a cotton poplin lining. A two-way zipper secures the front; in situations that might require quick access to inside gear you can skip the zip and simply fasten the quick-release hook-and-loop front tab. The vented back lets air flow through, side tabs customize the fit, and the padded collar enhances comfort. Now, about those pockets: The outside front alone includes 14 pockets: two hand-warmer pockets for frequently accessed items; two discreet vertical-entry security pockets on chest; four hook-and-loop flap pockets; two deep zippered security pockets; two smaller zippered patch pockets; and two open patch pockets. And that's just the front outside. There are also two interior pockets in front plus two in back for radios, complete with elastic loops at the shoulders to keep wiring in place. The outside back features a large hook-and-loop flap pocket with two elastic-topped pockets on either side. Machine wash.

Great vest but on the expensive side
Reviewer: Bill B. | Rives Junction, MI
I looked long and hard for a IDPA cover garment that was long enough, big enough, had good useful pockets but still fit well. Although a little on the expensive side, this vest fills the bill perfectly. For example, some vests have small double pockets that make fast clip retrieval hard, but the Men's Elite vest has big pockets that can even be fixed open for fast, easy access. Construction is excellent and not cheap looking at all, although this makes the vest a tad on the heavy side.
Although seemingly a small point, the collar adds to long term comfort and improves looks. My wife thinks it looks good enough that I often wear it on a daily basis, and of course it's a super carry cover (full size 1911 in an IWB). There is extra velcro on the pockets allowing you to fix them open with the flap out of the way, or not, as desired. Elastic bands in the pockets are intended for carrying clips I guess... good in theory but not so good in practice.
The corners of some of that velcro are sharp and exposed and can poke you, but a little trimming with scissors fixed that right up. I've tried a lot of vests at matches and on the range and although a little on the expensive side, this one is the best. If you're shooting IDPA or carrying regularly it's worth the money.
Nice simple carry vest

I got this vest for concealled carry and to use at a class that requires something that covers your gun so you can learn to draw from concealment just as you will carry. Nice product that does not scream, "there's a under here" I might add a small weight on the gun side front corner to help the vest clear the gun when drawing.
Excellent CCW and all around great vest
Reviewer: Jim | Farmington, NM
I've owned my vest for over 3-years now and my appreciation has steadly grown. After much use and wear, this is one of the few garments I've gathered over the years that I've come to depend on and frequently carry with me.
I looked at other CC vest but could not find one without the rifle magazine pockets; an unnecessary addition for everyday carry IMHO. I think those pockets stand out like a sore thumb. Then, I found the Woolrich which is a much more understated design.
No seams have come apart, nothing has stretched out of shape and it just gets better with age. Even the elastic magazine holders in the lower pockets have not stretched and are as good today as when purchased. Great ventilation and adjustment capability. I've had quite a few people ask about the make just on a utility view point.
