There is no particular weight limit for these vests if you're using standard weighted plates. As long as they are 10" x 13" plates in front and back and they don't exceed 6" x 8" on the sides, they should fit comfortably.

How do you fit 6x8 plates in the sides?

The side plate pouch has about 3 inches of extra loop field that is hidden inside the plate pouch. Stick your hand inside and you'll notice there is a flap that you can fold out. When you put the plate in and close the top flap to the pouch, the hook field will attach to the new extra loop field instead.
