It is engineered with cutting-edge technology, including a plush dual-density footbed for unsurpassed comfort and an Airthotic heel clip for optimal support when running, walking or crouching. Built on a DCP1-H athletic last, this boot provides all the necessary flexibility and comfort of a running shoe, with the functionality and protection of a reliable tactical boot. These are the third pair of Lookout 8" Black 800G boots I have owned. I love Danner Boots , but I am deeply saddened by the fact you are not focused on making them in the USA. But the great people of Vietnam are doing the brand proud by upholding the strong tradition of building exceptional quality Danner Boots.

Great boots for the Alaska

Great boots for the Alaska cold, good traction on ice so far no complaints. Took a little breaking in but after that period they've been some of the most comfortable boots I've owned.

Great solid boot, fit is perfect except the insoles make it feel narrow around the side of the heel, like im stepping on the edge of the shoes. Different insoles will fix it

I wear these as a mailman in Seattle. They keep my feet so toasty and were comfortable right out of the box. I always bring a change of shoes when I’m breaking in new boots, 11-13 miles a day is too far when something is rubbing wrong, but I have worn these all day every day since I got them! No back up shoes needed!

I wore the boots 2

I wore the boots 2 times around my home to make sure they were going to work for me. The first day I wore them I was doing outside work in 45-50 degree fahrenheit weather. They were comfortable and my feet were warm. I have neuropathy in my feet so it's important that my feet stay warm. Easy break in. I was handling water the entire time and although I wasn't standing in water my boots got wet from spilled water several times and my feet did not get wet. As long as these boots hold up for a year or two I would buy them again.
