product arrived faster then expected. new condition. found it to be smaller then expected. if you wear jump boots new in box they will not fit.. best way to describe main pocket is a size 12 or 13 wide tennis shoe box. if you ultra light camp or basic 2 day resupply bob. (nice size first aid kit or 200ft 10mm rope system) front pocket would fit at least a 10x12 back plate. maybe 11x14 plate very well built for its size pocket has very wide velcro closure. it has light weight shoulder padding maybe 1/4 inch thick by 2 wide down about 16 inches. i will play with it to see how long stitching lasts with weight it may last longer then shoulders haha.. going to look and see if there is hole for rope bag.. the plate/hydration pocket has 2 small plastic D rings to secure bladder vertically may fit 100oz.. the buckles are plastic did not look like "reinforced" military nylon style. purchased 2 for the price of one.

    • Don't Shop Online Based on the Deceptive Pictures!
      Reviewer: Philip Sakornsin

I just received my Explorer B3 Tactical Backpack, thinking that I'd purchased a backpack that I could really use in an emergency, to hold enough clothes and maybe a snack for the weekend. Boy was I wrong! While it may be tough and cool looking, it turns out that this is the second backpack I've purchased from this site that used deceptive pictures to advertise how luxuriously spacious it's backpacks are for all of your gear. Granted, this backpack looks and feels tough, but I was expecting a bag that I could comfortably bring more than one pair of shorts, a pair of bikini underwear, and a pair of socks in. From the initial look and feel of this bag, I'm thinking that's all I'll be able to carry in it. So BEWARE of the items you buy from this website.

A lot of pack at the $30 sale price. Seems sturdy. May be a bit more than I needed for a day pack but there seems to be a place for most items. A water bottle/thermos pocket would be a benefit but I guess it's not that type of pack. There are a lot of strap ends that hang around but I tied them off ok. They're also removable and can be stored in the pack. The removable straps had frayed ends which were easily cleaned up and sealed with a scissor and a lighter. You can just singe the nylon ends a bit and they don't unravel anymore, just like with nylon boot laces, but they still fit easily through the "M" buckles for removal and attachment. Zippers seem sturdy along with rest of pack. I'm a trucker and will use it for my gear. Just hoping it's not too big and cumbersome for that purpose, but I think I can make it work. Overall, seems a very good value at this price.

I was skeptical purchasing this pack at such a great price but when I received the olive colored one, it was such high quality that I purchased this one as a second emergency pack. This is definitely a great pack and at the price, it’s affordable enough to have one for each vehicle or member of the family.

    • Great pack for $30!
      Reviewer: R Bradley

      1/12/2019

Been through a lot of packs for various uses. For $30 this is decent. Shoulder straps are minimal and could be an issue if worn for an extended period. There is nothing to secure loose webbing when you’ve tightened any of the straps. It has a strong “army surplus store” smell to it. But it will serve its intended purpose and storage space is plentiful.

      1/9/2019

This pack appears to be well made with plenty of ways to adjust for a comfortable fit. The ability for the pack to expand and cinch down larger loads is beneficial. Gave four stars because there is no opening for a hydration hose if one was so inclined to install a bladder.

      1/9/2019

I must say....I’m totally impressed. It’s a great size. Not a full backpack, but not so small that you’re careful about the size of stuff you’re planning to pack inside. Great amount of separate compartments inside and a few great separations inside the zipper compartments to keep things apart if you want. Great quality zippers and material. I’d buy another one (or one for a gift) in a heartbeat at that price. 👍🏼👍🏼

Not recommended. Quality of the shoulder straps is incredibly poor. Can tell this will not be durable, only keeping because it fits a very specific need that will not require carrying any kind of weight.

      Reviewer: N. White

      1/9/2019

I bought this pack as a work bag. The overall size fits perfectly in between the hand brake and the A/C unit in the cab of my work vehicle. It holds all of my gear, paperwork, food and drinks nicely and with easy access when stopped. It holds up flawlessly jumping in and out of the vehicle multiple times a shift. The compartments are easily distinguishable when it is dark out or when you can't see what you are doing and working only by touch. The inner pockets are located in prime placements and are constructed for everyday wear. This pack holds up to my standard, that is why I bought a second one for personal use.

A lot of support and places to hang additional equipment. The size is great in respect to what you can haul and hang on this. That’s why I bought two colors and I’m not disappointed.

I really thought this would be a better quality pack..the straps are thin and weak...the hook and loop for patches - identifiers are split by the overlapping strap..it does have plenty of space however would recommend a better quality pack with better padded straps...especially if you plan on carrying heavier loads....

Bought this as an improved 72-hour pack and very pleased with it so far. This pack is tiny when compressed to its minimum size but even fully loaded it is quite ergonomic, thanks to the fully adjustable chest, shoulder, and waist straps. Time will tell how it holds up to heavy use but it seems well constructed for its price point.
