A must for the range and the bench

This is the second one I have. Use to verify firearm is safe and inspect for problems. Just enough light when needed at the workbench. Solid and can take hard use. Don't leave home without one.
excellent pen light

For its size, weight, brightness, and battery life, it is hard to beat. Very satisfied.

The best light of its size by far! Durable, bright, reliable with energizer batteries. I have hand several of these lights, keep this running treat it as your weapon clean it every now and then inside and out keep fresh batteries make sure they don't corrode. It comes with a pouch , extra button and batteries. But go get some energizer batteries for it. The only reason why I bought more from these guys is because everywhere else there 50$ bucks. Buy two for price of one. Excellent light to keep next to your pistol by your bed too not to bulky with full control of everything else.

Its a great light, uses AA batteries, very bright but not blinding. Im an industrial electrical and these lights work great for working in cabinets, under machines and any general use. Small and convenient to carry, I dont use the holster, just clip in pants pocket.
Only 3 stars due to I purchased these for 16.99, just a week after purchasing I received an email around black friday for 10% off and free shipping. I went to purchase several more for coworkers. Only to find the price jacked up more than 10% to 18.99. Unacceptable and due to that, I dont plan any future purchases.
started good but went down hill

THIS WAS A NICE LIGHT TO BEGIN WITH. HOWEVER, AFTER NOT A LOT OF USE, IT GOT TO A POINT WHERE IT WOULDN'T STAY ON. IT WAS NOT A BATTERY ISSUE. iT WOULD JUST RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. POSSIBLY A SWITCH ISSUE.
Decent light for the money, except...

The good: Overall, this is a decent little gadget. It's really bright, super efficient, and runs on AAA batteries you can get anywhere. Of course, it's not a spotlight or anything, but I would certainly say this flashlight holds its own against the Minimag's brightness. I would probably recommend this light if you are absolutely strapped for cash and need a pen light (but see below).
The bad: Well for starters, this light is not particularly well built. It's hard to explain, but it just feels hulky and cheap. The cap has a squeakyness to it that attests to this. Also, the clicky switch on the back is difficult to depress, requiring you to really dig in with your thumb to turn on the light. It's not the end of the world, but if you want a user friendly, well built light, the Stylus Pro may not be for you.
My second issue is that while running this light for approximately 15 minutes consecutively, one of the original Duracell batteries that it came with exploded. The battery was not expired, and was in the light for about a month prior, with intermittent use. It is entirely possible that the battery was the culprit, but I suspect it has something to do with the design of the flashlight since I have never had an issue with Duracells before.
I sent the light to Streamlight, and they promptly remitted a (supposedly) brand new replacement, which was DOA. At first, I couldn't even swap out the batteries since they were stuck firmly in the light. To make a long story short, I managed to pry them out using a screw and I found they were wrapped in cellphane, which caused them to become stuck inside. In any event, I tried new batteries -- to no avail. I also noticed that the reflector appears to have been warped and wavy.
Light weight, very bright, reliable.

I carry this flashlight with me almost always. Because I have difficulty seeing in low light situations, I frequently can benefit from an additional light source. I have tried many other small flashlights. They are either too big, too heavy, not bright enough, or go through batteries too fast. The Stylus Pro is perfect. I am retired, but still work as an EMT. I use this flashlight all the time. After 2 months, I am still using the original batteries, and it is still amazingly bright. I intend to buy another Stylus Pro Penlight as a back-up. It is an excellent buy. And no, I do not work for the company!
Light weight, compact, can't feel it while carrying

This is by far the best every-day carry flashlight I've seen. Light weight, compact, almost can't feel it while in pocket. Great lumen output for such a small light(24 lumen)
intense, tight, high output, beam . . .

Recent developments in LED technology are very promising. LED's are an economical, super bright light source, that draw less power, and have a much longer life than incandescent lamps. Although LED's do degrade slowly over time, they will still produce decent output for a long, long time.
This Streamlight 66118 flashlight utilizes a single high output LED as the light source, and powered by two AAA batteries, produces a very bright and intense beam of light. Beam spread is rather narrow, and not adjustable. The flashlight provides good general illumination for short distances, and has the kick to reach quite far.
The housing is weather resistant anodized aluminum, with a rubber sealed on/off switch at the top. Gently pushing the switch, temporarily turns the light on. There is a metal clip which is attached to the screw on cap with the switch. As has been noted in another review, if you are not careful, the clip can scrape the finish of the housing when the cap is screwed off or on. Putting a layer of tape around the housing, where the clip touches the housing should help prevent damage. A serviceable nylon holster is also included.
Excellent little light

I've been carrying the Streamlight Stylus Pro and the Streamlight Microstream for a couple of years now, and I think I can safely say that these are excellent lights. I never leave home without one of them.
I compared them to my 4 C cell Maglight (non LED) and promptly got rid of my Maglight. The light cast by both the Stylus Pro and the Microstream were very comparable to the Maglight, but at an obvious weight advantage (not to mention battery consumption).
I started out carrying the Stylus Pro in my pocket, next to my trusty knife, but, after about a year I bought myself a Microstream, since is fits so much better. Now the Stylus Pro sits on my night stand for when I need to check on noises or anything like that.
My wife liked the Stylus Pro so much that I bought her one too.
One other very positive note: One day at work I brushed by a pallet of boxes and caught the pocket clip of my Stylus Pro on one of them and it bent out really bad. It eventually broke. I called up Streamlight and told them what happened and they sent me two pocket clips free of charge (attached to two tail caps!). This is an awesome company and they provide excellent customer service.
I would STRONGLY suggest that if you're looking for a nice little flashlight, get yourself either one of these lights... Or heck, get one of each :-)
love my streamlight stylus

Totally impressed with this little flashlight. Small size fits and clips easily into pants pocket. Surprisingly bright beam shines much farther than I expected. Aluminum housing is very durable, and I've gotten it wet several times with no problems. The light has been used quite a bit and is still using the original batteries. One hand operation makes it very handy.

Pioneering the rechargeable flashlight industry, Streamlight's first products were created for NASA in the 1970s. Obviously not afraid of innovation, its employees are constantly brainstorming ideas for improved ideas and new products. In order to best know what their customers need, they take tactical training classes such as firefighter training and shooting courses. Valuing practicality, Streamlight flashlights are manufactured to solve a variety of problems. The bright, functional lights are used by law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, soldiers, hunters—really anyone who may need an unfaltering, handy flashlight. Long-lasting and durable, Streamlight products will never leave you in the dark.
