The Talon Baton from ASP. This revolutionary new design uses two opposing discs that cam into an internal groove that is machined into each tube. Lockout is simple, stable and secure. Positive expansion complements push button retraction. Retract your Talon Baton by depressing the release button or cap. It is not necessary to strike the tip of the baton. Carry your Talon Baton in an Envoy or Duty T Scabbard. Expand your Talon by sharply flicking the baton straight up or down. You can also extend the baton by pulling the tip with your hand.

One of the best expandable batons out there.

The best option out of the three Talon series batons.The baton measures about 23.6" extended and 9.6" collapsed and it is the only Talon series baton that meets the 21"+ recommended length for batons.The button mechanism allows you to collapse it without having to bang it against a hard surface which is the major selling point of this product.

Just what I wanted

Heavier than I thought, but it was as effective as I hoped it would be. I bought this to protect myself and my dog from another dog in our neighborhood. had to use it four days after receiving it. Opened easily, stayed in my hand as I swung it, and had the needed effect on the target.

Awesome baton. Solid engineering.

Instantly deployable and easy to retract the ASP Baton gives me the security in any situation. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do, I am confident that it will not let me down.
