ESS LPL-5+ lenses protect against visible green lasers at a 532nm wavelength (2.5 OD) and visible blue violet lasers at 405-445nm wavelengths (1.5+ OD). At a VLT of 42% photopic (daytime) and 18% scotopic (nighttime), the LPL-5+ allows enough light transmittance to be used in darker nighttime conditions.
