Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in a personnel carrier, a pilot in a cockpit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear, and all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. Slim shaped, for fast maneuvering in crowds, they can be stored in vehicles / lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable to wear. The main padded strap is cocked at either the right or left lower corner, so the pad aligns ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. There is no slack, or gapping away from the body as is typical with similar single shoulder packs. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. This means the user can go from wearing the pack on his back, to driving a vehicle with it on his chest in just a few seconds. One-strap also makes shouldering a long-gun natural - unlike a regular backpack.

Best SBR pack EVER!!!

I bought this to EDC a Maxim Defense PDX SBR in 5.56. My SBR fits in it perfectly!!! I have a Holosun 510C optic and an Olight Baldr Mini weapon light/laser combo on the top of the rail up front. I used the divider that came with the pack as a muzzle cushion in the bottom of the bag. I cut a piece of 5.5mm Lexan (18.5” x 7”) to fit in the bottom of the main compartment to keep the pack stiff for an uninterrupted draw...it also serves as a back deformation plate for my custom Level 3A soft armor I had made for the pack (Talos Ballistics). The small top pocket fits my portable chargers and cables for my Olight Baldr Mini, Warrior Mini and iPhone. The larger bottom pocket on the outside *perfectly* fits three 20 round M4 mags in an EOD Velcro M4 mag holder. I’m right handed so I sling the pack over my left shoulder...that way when I rotate it around to the front the bottom of the pack is facing upwards towards my left shoulder. This way the draw is uninterrupted by the flap getting in the way and I’d most likely be kneeling behind cover while deploying the SBR...left knee up, right knee down - the pack won’t interfere with my positioning. The loop panel on the bottom outside pocket is perfect...when the SBR is deployed just open the zipper on the pocket with your left hand, pull the EOD Velcro mag holder with three 20 rd mags out (left hand) and rip the loop panel patch off with your right hand. Mag pouch gets slapped onto the loop panel and cover panel goes back inside the pocket. Works almost as well as operating out of a chest carrier. The Grayman pack I have has drawn absolutely ZERO strange looks when wearing inside stores. Just the overall dimensions of the pack make it impossible for someone to think there’s an SBR inside, unlike all of the other SBR packs I’ve seen. I keep a 10 round Pmag in the receiver (empty chamber) when in the bag and it fits just fine. Only takes about 3 seconds to deploy the SBR and another 2 seconds to deploy and attach the three mags to the pack. If discretion is your thing and you’ve upgraded to Enhanced Daily Carry due to current circumstances then this is your pack...100%
