So it's all in the name

Didn't know why it was called a friction baton. My duty baton is a monadnock and it uses a button to collapse (doesn't always work that way, even fresh out of the package as mine was) and I heard we were moving to asp, so I thought I'd get one of these.Great weight, love the feel and grip, and I didn't know that in order to get it to collapse I have to do what will fubar my monadnock (so I was a bit put off by it initially because it feels like I'm mistreating my baton) but aside from that it's great.

Nice ASP baton

So far so good. Hope to never have to use it but I'd rather have it & never use it. Well made. I bought the 26" and it's the perfect size. It got stuck open but the tap technique to loosen the friction worked great. Great little gear for easy transport. My first time owning one & very pleased with the purchase.

I like this baton just the handle alone has an amazing grip and its comfortable. In its safe position it doesn't look like any kind of weapon and thats one of the main reasons I like this baton.

WILL NOT CLOSE!!

THE G/F AND I JUST GOT BRAND NEW ONES,A 16&21. THEY OPEN OK BUT WILL NOT FULLY RETRACT!! AFTER 30-40 REAR STRIKES ON CONCREET. THIS IS WHY MANY OF US IN L.E IN MY HOOD QUIT CARRYING THEM. THEY WILL BE RETURNED!!.

As expected the ASP Friction Loc Baton is a quality built tool. Collapses hard at first but will loosen with opening and closing. Ordering was easy and this site's shipping was fast.

Don't waste your money on cheaper batons get an ASP. The feel and function are not the same in cheap knockoff brands. ASP is the real deal and Galls is the place to get it
