Former Navy SEAL Mike Noell was on a mission in Afghanistan when the strap on his issued backpack broke, falling onto a land mine. Fortunately, it did not detonate and he made it out alive. Still, the experience stuck with Noell and in 1993, he founded Blackhawk with the ultimate goal of creating no-fail gear for military and tactical professionals. The brand's background is a large part of why every piece of clothing, equipment and footwear has to meet meticulous standards before it's ever released. Military personnel and first responders need gear they can trust, which is why they choose Blackhawk time and time again.

I would give this boot a 5 star review but my last par of boots had a defect on the back tab that you use to pull your boot on. That said I have been wearing those boots for 13 months now and they have held up great. I am only now replacing them because they are too stained to be in compliance with my uniform. If you are looking for a strong comfortable boot that is going to stand up to hard work and hundreds of miles, This is your boot.
